New facilities easily accessible via public transport

Major issue: Not queen bed. I had booked a twin bedroom and requested for the two beds to be put together, the hotel had kindly offered to give me a queen bed instead. Unfortunately when I arrived I noticed I was given twin beds instead. They again offered to give me a queen bed but mentioned the room would be smaller, so I kept the room I had ordered. Minor issues: - No hanging rail for ironed clothes - Was given 4 small towels instead of 2 bug and 2 small ones 2 days in a row. They probably didn't have any fresh towels - Check in - the doors didn't open upon my arrival as it was were 8.30pm, outside of check in hours, luckily I bumped into one of the guests and walked in with them - Cleaner walked into the room without knocking (but she had just cleaned the room and it was empty at the time). They should knock before entering, luckily I was in the bathroom so she didn't see me.

Everything is newly built so it's brand new and clean - Clean bathroom, kitchen and room - Kitchen has a sponge, cloth, tea towel and extra towel for that section. Saucepans are new and clean. Cutlery, knives, dish rack are all available. - Easy to use and clean electric cooker - Sandro, receptionist, was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly, great customer service.

As it’s so new there are teething problems. Missing hanging rail in a wardrobe, one room had selection of tea, coffee, the other just had two coffee pods. Coffee machine in Reception was out of order. Rooms have no written details at all, discovered black out blinds by accident. Very hot with no air con, would not have wanted to be there during heat of the summer. Bathroom has one shelf under sink, more storage space in there would be a big plus. Check in process was digital only and very slow.

We stood outside the hotel for 30mins wondering how to get in. There was a keypad to the side of the outside door and I had a PIN number on the booking.com form but this didn't work. No explanation. Once inside (fortunately someone walked out so the door opened) a member of staff appeared from the office. SUGGESTION, have a office/reception where staff can see visitors or a buzzer so staff can be alerted. We had to ask how to get in and out and were told that our room key card would let us in pressed against the key pad again not obvious. Hotel in industrial estate, our view through the window was of 2 storage tanks. Room too hot despite leaving the window open. TV signal not working.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Bathroom was a good size and clean. Staff were friendly. Hotel staff gave us a piece of paper which allowed free bus travel into and around the city, regular bus service into the city centre, bus stop close to the hotel. Cheaper than staying in Bern centre. First year of opening so we think things could be improved, office in reception so staff can see visitors, temperature in room, TV signal etc.

Our recent 6-day stay at Los Lorents' Hotel Apartment was a delightful experience, combining comfort, convenience, and the pleasure of feeling right at home in Switzerland. Here’s a breakdown of everything that made our stay special: Accommodation & Facilities The apartment came with a fully furnished kitchen or kitchenette, fully stocked with essential utensils and cookware. As vegetarians, this was invaluable to us—particularly in Switzerland, where dining out can be costly, and vegetarian options are limited. We happily made use of the kitchen facilities, allowing us to prepare our own meals just as we like them. The room was impeccably clean, quiet, and met all our expectations, giving us a perfect retreat after long days exploring. While we did wish the room were slightly more spacious, it still fulfilled all our needs for a restful and peaceful stay. Should you need anything extra for the kitchen or room, the reception is more than happy to assist. The staff at Los Lawrence were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Location & Accessibility The location is wonderfully convenient—only about 100 meters from the bus stop (Bus No. 101/100), which reaches Bern station in just 10 minutes. A nearby Aldi supermarket, located next to the bus stop, provided easy access to all essentials. For those who enjoy nature, there are two beautiful jungle trails just across from the bus stop and behind the hotel, perfect for scenic walks or refreshing runs. Ease of Travel We used Bern as our base and traveled extensively across central and western Switzerland, making full use of Switzerland’s efficient train network. After our day trips, it was always a pleasure to return to our quiet, cozy apartment for a night of peace and rest. Due to the lovely experience, we even extended our stay by two more days.

I could not find a manual on how to operate the cooking surface, and I had not operated one like it. When neither of us could figure it out, we used the microwave instead. That worked out just as well.

The receptionist went out of her way to help us, explaining how to access public transportation, offering to hold our bags while we went to eat until check-in time, and showing us on a map how to get to the sights and restaurants. The kitchenette was great and allowed us to have a more flexible schedule since we could have meals in our room when necessary. Very nice in every way!
