How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Soundproof is a joke, I woke up in the night because someone checked in. Noise from the window and from the door, crying babies, people walking in the corridor. Disgusting 🤢
The room was extremely clean, the check-in was good. Everything was working fine in the room.

Slight difficulty on check in as the screen altered to German when it came to paying and creating room key, it just would not go back to English but eventually sorted,
On the bus routes into Bern and out to family. Great room facilities.

Hotel provides one pillow. Maybe to concider offering two pillows
This is a brand new apart hotel. The room is a good size. Kitchen has pots, utensils ,plates and cups. They have daily housekeeping for a short term stays Included in the price. Free public transportation. ALDI is next to the hotel and bus 101 stop is a minute away. Staff is very nice and helpful Hotel is clean overall

Poor location, distant from town center with boring surroundings and areas on the 3-4 km walk to town. Despite the distant location, one had to pay at least 20 Euros for parking. Very few staff services, with self check-in required, no concierge type services, no bar, restaurant or breakfast.

We had major issues checking in and getting to our room after staff had left the premises. We arrived at 10.30pm/22.30 and it took us til 11.50pm/23.50 til the problem was sorted... our digital key wasn't working and we tried calling the emergency number in the lobby but that went straight to a phone behind a closed door in a room adjacent to the lobby. Managed to get hold of staff via a random number in one of the emails from the hotel. Still didn't know which room we were booked into but good thing that staff over the phone knew. Talked to staff next morning and they just blamed it on us calling via Whatsapp... and that they would talk to management about the faulty digital key. This whole experience ruined our stay and stressed us out so much.
The room was well equipped, clean and had a very nice and comfortable bed. A big tv with chromecast was perfect for us as we watch netflix alot.

A bit stuffy the room with no aircon
Everything! We stayed a night, then asked to leave our luggage whilst we headed for the mountainside the next night and then return the night after. They were very accomodating and brought out luggage to our room the night after we returned.

Lovely hotel and great transport links into the city of Bern, underground parking for the bikes very safe. The hotel give you app for your phone for free public transport.

There was no ability for room temperature control, and despite being cool outside, it was a sauna inside. The bed was so hard, not comfortable at all. Our view was of storage tanks and a run-down skate park. The area felt unsafe and poorly lit. Self check in was painful, and staff were not present, but in a back room, at checkout at 8am, no staff were present. There was no easily accessible information on how to contact staff during our stay. Coffee machines in the foyer were broken. And no security as to who could access the hotel and all floors from car park during the day. I would not recommend it.
It was a new hotel and the shower had good water pressure and the layout of the room was good.
