I like the modern bathroom in the room. The bedsheets were super pleasant as the room itself. I liked the breakfast and pool which was heated. I truly enjoyed our stay there with the family. They had some board games that my girls loved and the location to hike Monte San Salvatore is great.

- Shower glass was not entirely covered, making it slightly awkward when taking a shower. - Bathroom door is more like a wardrobe door and is not noise / sight proof. - Was missing a few, small complimentary items for the price

Breakfast should have more variety, like some arabic dishes. Also they should write the names and the components of the dishes. For the bathroom, the glass is not covered will so you can see anyone inside it during the shower. Changing the towels on daily base should be shown.

I booked 2 standard rooms for myself and my family. The rooms were not very big but were full of facilities. Even if I can't operate the Nespresso machine), I enjoyed my 1 night stay at the Novotel. And BIG applause go to the breakfast itself and the breakfast area. The variety of products you would expect only from 5-star hotels, wide area. Very easy access from the central station to the hotel and from the hotel to the city centre. I will definitely choose Novotel for my next trip to Lugano. Maybe even just for breakfast :)

Off the beaten track and still just around the corner of the hustle & bustle of the beautiful lakeside. We liked the ambiance of the breakfast room very much where we enjoyed a rich breakfast. Arriving by car is super easy and parking is offered in their underground garage.

small rooms and chaotic check in due to ibis/ibis budget and Novotel being checked in at the same counter. staff is very young and not trained for a 4 stars hotel. with check in for ibis budget and Novotel at the same counter one wonders why one is paying premium fee to stay at Novotel since the entrance, lobby, elevators, corridors, breakfast room are all shared and the rooms are adjacent on the same floors. kinda not worth it and not well thought.

The bed was unfortunately a bit uncomfortable, pillows and blankets, too. Perhaps we have gotten used to our Tempur bed + accessories so everything else just feels thin and poor. Also, the air conditioning didn’t work properly and it was too hot in the room.

The staff went over and beyond to serve us as a family with a 1,5 yo toddler. I can’t thank enough the ladies at the front desk for arranging us an early check-in even with a fully booked hotel, so that we got our daughter for a nap. Also, the gentleman at the restaurant was so incredibly nice for us at the dinner! The property is also very clean and in good shape. We liked the room. Coffee machine is always a big plus.

During winter season, the guests of the adjacent Ibis appear to have breakfast at the Novotel as well, which is understandable but still a bit annoying (probably not only for the guests): slightly crowded elevators and restaurant, noisy, and need to reserve a table.

Professional staff, very friendly and helpful, very good English. Very clean and quite rooms. Also enjoyed the restaurant, great breakfast and nice dinner, comfy lounge at the bar. Nice pool for a few swims before breakfast, was still warm enough end of October 2022. Good WiFi. Just a few steps to the Lake or to the Funicular. Nice 15-20 mins walk along the lake promenade to downtown Lugano.
