The hotel lacked basic necessities. For example, the rooms did not cups at all. I understand it's a green hotel, but I don't think reusable glasses or mugs would be a problem. The bathroom was clean but there was an unpleasant odor from the drain in the bathing area. I would recommend this place but these little efforts to fulfil necessities would have made my stay even better

The rooms were quite spacious and had enough space for 3 people. The hotel is also well located. There is a supermarket which is just a 2 min walk away from the hotel. The nearest station is just a 5 mins walk. So overall, location wise the hotel was good.

The room was warm and we were told by staff that its centrally controlled n we can't adjust the temp in our room. It was so warm that they had to provide us with a fan! I mean...we were staying at a hotel ..how can this happen??!! Other than this discomfort, the location was good, near Zurich HB n the convenience store.

Kitchen was very busy and it was very crowded most of the time due to only one electric cooker for the whole hotel. It was showing me on booking.com breakfast was included but later on I found out that it was not included. It was not clear at all when booking the hotel.

Location is good, near to train station which is about 4 or 5 stops away from Zurich HB. We had to go to Zurich HB to catch connecting trains. Modern built. Shared kitchen and luggage room.

The kitchen was way too small , and not enough space at all .there was only one cooking stove for too many people . Most of the time Kitchen table top was crammed with pots and pans and sink was a mess , people left utensils without washing and the kitchen facility was way too small and wouldn’t cater for this size of hotel / hostel . Was really disappointed.

Access by train was very easy and good . Reception Staff were nice .

Very comfortable and clean, wonderful lobby area with kitchen and tables plus a great bar for drinks and snacks. We saw lots of family’s with small children and it had a very home-like feel.

There isn’t a kettle and facility to make Tea in the room which usually is available in all the places I’ve stayed in.

Nice spacious room and the bunk bed for kids was a hit. They enjoyed it.

I was in a room of 4 females and one of the females in the room was very ill. I didnt see her leave the room/bed once during my 3 days, she was wrapped in a blanket constantly coughing and seemed very unwell. When I told the staff I said I was worried about her making the rest of us ill as its such a small room they said they were unable to help or do anything. Of course I've now picked up whatever she had and feel horrible.

The hotel itself was fine, as was the breakfast.

It was really hot in the room. Air conditioning can not be adjusted when preferred. No cleaning was done, as cleaning is apparently only done upon request, but we were not informed about that by the staff at all during check-in. The hotel is next to a train station. It gets extremely really loud when trains pass by.

Foe the price, breakfast should be included as standard and not optional. Though there is a guest kitchen, found the same to be pretty crowded most of the times. A chair was not provided in our room, even after requesting for one for around three times!!!

Location is the main advantage. it’s a few minutes walk from the nearest train station and grocery stores.

Charging me twice, and they told me that it was non-refundable. Makes me mad because they don't want to return my hard earned money for my first reservation ( 1 night) that I had canceled, and it was confirmed. Then I booked a new reservation for 2 nights instead, and Meininger Hotel charged my card twice. 🙃😠😡 I called the bank and reported it to them.
