The personnel were very friendly and the painting on the walls was very cute. Beds are comfortable and they have lockers in the common rooms (for before and after checking in/out if need it) and inside the rooms themselves.

The lift can only be accessed from the bar entrance. So there's lots of stairs. Only 2 shower rooms and 1 toilet provided for each floor. This hostel is about 30 mins walking distance from the Zurich train station (based on my own waking pace with luggage).

Affordable and worth the money. The shared kitchen is awesome to heat food, eat and mingle with others. I really appreciate that they provide curtains in each bed, it gives me a sense of privacy even though it's a shared bedroom. Easy check in and check out. Friendly and nice staff. Walking distance to Lake Zurich and few attractions.

Shower is outside the room, this is common on same floor rooms.

No. 1 toilet in the room and extensions for charging every bunk bed. My extension cord got confiscated in Dubai so I dont have extra extension coz I thought they only have few power sockets. And of course we have our own toilet in our room.. room 42! 2. Lift/elevator - even if it only fits 1 person and 1 luggage, still there is a lift! 3. We had breakfast in the common kitchen. Cereals, oats muesli, milk, bread, butter, jam, coffee and choco.. they have microwave and toaster and kettle. Utensils and bowl and plates but you have to wash them as you go. 4. Free tshirt if you stay for 3 nights. I got mine for CHF6/€7 coz I stayed for 2 nights. 5. Near to the train station Zurich Stadelhofen. 6. They have coop (convenience store) where you can buy your food, cafes, restau, mall nearby. I got to experience the Christmas market when I arrived in Dec 23, 2024. 7. They have friendly staff and even the owner is giving time to chat with us. I met people from different parts of the world! Happy, and worthy experience. If you have luggage with you, make sure it is durable because the road is with cobblestone. I stayed here from Dec 23-25, 2024. I should have extended my stay since Zurich is still a big place to see. No snow here. It rained when I arrived. I totally recommend this Old Town Hostel Otter even for a first timer solo traveler! The lift is only available from the first level, so you’ll need to carry your luggage to the reception at the first floor. The beds don’t have curtains to give you some privacy.

Convenient for the price. They have unlimited tea and coffee available all day at the common room for free. Clean facilities, and close to the train station and historic center. They have lockers with lock for you to keep your luggage before check in (for free) and also in the room. Staff was nice and helpful

The hostel is well located, it has a direct train to go to the airport and its just 20 mins walk from the Zurich train station. The locality is very happening and you have a lot of things to do around. I stayed in the hostel for the first time and I really enjoyed the stay. The rooms and washrooms were very clean. I could store the luggage in case of early check in and late check out. I have no complaints at all.

The Bed is a little bit squiggly. I hope, that the charging socket near the bed is well placed, because the cable that I have is not long enough. There are no faucet to wash our hand inside the WC. Given that there is a Hanger at the back of the door, I wish, that the room for taking a shower would be big enough to place our toiletries, clothes and undies. I hope that the Common room (Dinner Table) would be large enough to accommodate all the guess of the Hostel.

the location is near the bus stop also by walking I've already reach some tourist spot. the Receptionist are very responsive. The Window in the sleeping room can be open widely. The Lockers are inside the room, provided with lock. There is Faucet inside the room for us to use. There are privacy curtain for each bed. The Internet is fast and efficient. The Bath towel is provided and also breakfast: Toast, Cereals, Coffee, Chocolatw drinks and Sandwich spread. There is fridge that we could store ours, also Microwave, Toaster and small oven too. There are Eating and Drinking Utensils. Also, the Water Boiler for drinking. The Toilet paper that provided is of good quality, which doesn't make us rash. They provided Bath Gels and Shampoos. There is Bar downstairs and activities too. They provide CCTV in each floor and areas.
