How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nearby night club kept up awake until 2 am; windows open to an internal light well with no views, ac was difficult to operate and we were not able to make it cool the room, bedding was heavy and not summer appropriate

Despite rooms are nice, there is a problem with noise isolation, so you can hear the music from a nearby bar until late in the night.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast with great quality and variety. Fast check in and check out, fantastic location.

No room service, No one to deliver the luggage to the street, if you have a car, you have the park it in the main street and go up to bring your luggage.
The great location, Nice and friendly staff, There is parking close by, and the have 20% discount. I would recommend to friends and visit it again.

I didn't like that it seems to be a night club nearby on a rooftop so I woke up the two nights at 1:30am because of the noise.
the location is amazing. The breakfast was really good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not many selection of food - in case you’re just not up and too fatigue to it to go look for other food outside after whole day sight seeings.
The location and the amenities to lounge and chill. The library is a cozy place to relax too.

Only thing that was slightly weird was the shower was basically inside the room? It's designed in a way that you don't have to worry about leaks or anything, just an interesting design choice!
The location is perfect. You're about 10 mins walk from the train station and an even shorter bus ride from the station. It's a pretty seamless check in and check out process. There's a lovely rooftop area where you can enjoy drinks and food. The staff were very friendly too and our room was nice and clean.

A fantastic hotel right in the city center! The location is super convenient, and the rooms are always clean and tidy. The top-floor bar is a real highlight, with great drinks and a wonderful atmosphere that's available anytime.

I found the duvet/comforter a little short for me who is tall. I laughed at myself on this one... but I truly could not find a place to switch off the lights. There was a switch to dim the lights, but you cannot turn them off. Be aware that for a taxi drop-off, there is no sign for the hotel on the street. You have to walk into the arcade of the building to find the sign to the hotel.
Location, location, location. Perfect location for both leisure and business. Step out of the hotel into luxury shops. It is short walk to the lake. Lovely reception area, lounge and terrace. Loved the morning sun on the terrace. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a large luggage storage area. The room is super quiet. It's compact but not cramped. Very comfy bed. You are able to open the outside window shutters from a switch in the room.

Shower in the middle of the room, and not really ventilated, so after the shower the room was quite humid, and there was not a lot of intimacy as bathroom and room not separated.
Staff was very helpfull, check in and out were fast. Staff accomodated us a bit earlier, which was absolutely adorable and helpful as we were carrying heavy backpacks. The room was very clean, the cleaning ladies very kind, the bed was very comfortable, the location was absolutely perfect.
