We had an extremely noisy room, next to the maintenance room of the cleaning staff, doors banging along the day, constant noises. Very annoying! However, we were offered a discount and upgrade on our next stay. No coffee machine available at the lobby in the afternoon (only on during the morning & lunch). No coffee refill in the room for the first 2 days. Very soft pillow (flat) aksed for additional pillow, but never received them.

Well situated, similar design as the other branch called "swiss wine", practical and simple. Discount on the parking "mon repos" nearby.

Breakfast is at the reception food is exposed for everyone getting in or out from the hotel. When bread was missing the stuff said it's not gonna be refilled and you can go to the other hotel to have breakfast. Strange vibe. But the food itself was quite good. After checking in no one informed us how to get in to the hotel at night since the reception is not open. We didn't get at the check in the free public transport tickets, I had to ask if they have something like that on the day after. The shower stream was low and waved between hot and cold the whole time. We asked for upper floor room and we kindly got it so that might be the reason.

The location is great and the room is quite big and comfortable.

Very dark hallway and motion sensor took a while to kick in. Rather economical on coffee and sugar, only enough for 1 per day and no English tea. The hotel is up a steep hill but if you take the Metro from the train station to Ours, you can walk 100m downhill to the hotel. Couldn't master the air con at all and found the room a bit hot with a heavy duvet.

Rm 603-Room has been recently renovated and was super clean and modern. Pretty small but suitable for one person as intended. Comfortable bed, lovely big shower but very low pressure. Reception and cleaning girls nice and friendly and helpful. TV had English channels which was great for a change. Chocolate was very nice from the fountain.

Mixed feelings about the chocolate-themed decoration; some found it charming, while others thought it was a bit tacky.

Perfect location. The presence of a sofa bed provides additional comfort. Unique amenity: a chocolate fountain in the lobby. Overall, a comfortable stay.

Person who checked me in on Dec 10 was rude, unwelcoming and unhelpful. Room was cold, the window had been left open and it was less than 5°C outside. The heat took forever to work. The lighting was bad and the room was gloomy and depressing. No compensation was offered after asking for help multiple times.

The person at the desk at checkout told me to write an email to the manager about my bad experience; however the manager never got back to me; hence I'm writing this review now.

Pillow is very flat. Bunk beds very low. The kettle’s boiling bar was rusty! No usb port to charge phone. Worst - the service!!! Check in time from 3pm. We arrived at 6pm. Room not ready until 7pm and we were exhausted!!! Check out time 12pm we asked if we can check out slightly later at 1245pm - NO! Unless we pay them extra charges!!! Ridiculous!!! It’s ok for the room to be not ready and for them to rob us of our few hours but not possible to extend check out by less than an hour!

There was no soap in the room, no shampoo, nor other toiletries. There was no warning in this sense. I arrived late and left in a rush after the check in. You can find such things (toiletries) at 3 a.m. in Lausanne, if you are creative, but going out into the night for that is a bit much for a hotel like this. Not a great experience.

Room was ok, nothing special to mention. It was clean and kind of comfortable for one night. The breakfast was good and comfortable. All in all, you cannot complain on staff, cleanliness, or food. It's a good experience.

Great hotel in the best area of Lausanne, Switzerland. Close to all the attractions, restaurants and the water. The Staff were all very friendly and would always check you had everything you needed. The hotel and rooms are clean and nicely designed. Spacious bathroom with good hairdryer and magnifying mirror! :) The chocolate fountain at the reception was a nice touch, which is a testament to the Swiss' love for their world-famous chocolates. Proximity to metro and free travel tickets made it very easy to get around. Would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a good stay, good food and hospitality. It was a comfortable stay overall.

- carpets need refurbishing, elevator needs update - a litte smelly, old - A/C is incredibly loud - kitchenette but no supplies at all - hidious chocolate fountain - but it's turned off during breakfast time, so it's just there for show. whole place smells like medium-quality-chocolate

The staff was exceptionally helpful, going above and beyond, in assisting me to get a lift for my colleague in a wheelchair out of the car. We experienced consistently friendly and helpful service at the front desk. Amazing location and view from our room. Rooms were well maintained and housekeeping was excellent with daily check ins. Great bakery right next door!
