I recently had the pleasure of staying at Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind in Zurich, and while there were many highlights, there were a couple of aspects that left room for improvement. The in-room amenities could use an upgrade, and the dining options, given the stature of the hotel, were a tad limited. Additionally, the charge of CHF50 for a late checkout (even by an hour) after a week-long stay was surprising. I would have anticipated such a minor extension to be complimentary. That said, the Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind offers a genuine Swiss experience in the heart of Zurich, and I would love to be back to stay at this fine hotel.

The air conditioner was leaking water into the room and making the rug wet, but honestly that A/C was a life saver and I let the front desk know and they said it was normal

You can’t beat the location, it’s literally 5 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof and the old city. Perfect for getting around the city and getting to the airport. If you’re all about the city rather than the hotel you cannot beat this

location was great, just 5 minutes from Zürich HB and next to Tram Central and polybahn station. it’s a quiet street though as we arrived the day of the Parade and there was zero noise; hotel crew were really nice with us and always kind with our toddler. they provided us with a cot for free (this service is not free in many hotels nearby) and made an upgrade for us so we could be more comfortable with the baby. they gave us chocolates everyday as a gift when we were leaving in the morning. breakfast is not big in terms os variability but nice quality and all the essentials to enjoy it plenty. it’s the second time we stay at this hotel and we’ll come back 100%

They had no room to store our luggage when we arrived at noon. Our only choice was to drag our luggage around town or pay an early room fee of 50 Francs. We paid as it was very hot outside . Felt taken very advantage of since it really wasn't our fault they had such limited space to store luggage.

It was my second stay here, and there were no surprises. Quick check-in procedure, large room, very good position: close to both the train station and to ETH / university hospital. Nice breakfast buffet.

The rooms are tight, but we found it was enough room for a short stay. The lobby/ breakfast area is also very small and not suitable for bigger groups of people.

The location is perfect- near train station and centrally located. Rooms are comfortable with a/c - important in the hot summer we are having!!!

Hotel was walkable from the train station and near lots of shops and restaurants. Check-in and out were easy and they were able to store our luggage for us. Room was a little small but fine for only staying one night. Room was very uncomfortably hot.
