How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I liked nothing about the property. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are dirty. Bathroom is filthy. Beds are hard and have bugs. The bed sheets were rough. The bathroom had mould. There was no one to clean the room and the garbage was not even picked up. The staff doesn’t even care. I was waiting to leave this hotel. At this price I would have accepted even a motel type room. But this is substandard. I will urge booking.com to remove this listing.

Toilet is cramp. Facilities quite old and run down. Toilet bowl not clean. Bed not being made up everyday. Only clear rubbish.
Location with many halal restaurants and shops. Not far from supermarket and train station, Interlaken West.

This cannot be called a hotel. Poor facilities and the staff are not professional. They don't change the towels nor make up rooms. Also don't clear the rubbish. Have to go to reception to ask for toilet rolls. Each room only has one physical key. There is no fridge. No kettle need to ask then they provide, the worst is when using the kettle the socket or the plug caused a spark and my wife got electric shock and burnt her hand. It also caused a trip to the electricity to the rooms The lady on duty at night was ok gave my wife some cream and advised to see a doctor next day. But the person who answered the phone next day when we enquired about the resumption of Aircon did not show concern about the electric shock just focus on saying the Aircon is not available in winter, despite we told them it ceased to function only after the electricity trip.

The room was not clean. Also they forgot to clean the room daily. The check-in process was a little bit unorganized. There was mold in the room.
The Hotel was really well located and very calm. Good price.

ALL SERVICES AMAZING
THE LADY AT THE RECEPTION MADE A FREE UPGRADE ROOM WITH BALCONY AND THE SAFE WAS NOT WORKING THEN SHE CHANGED THE ROOM TO ANOTHER ONE .IN CHECKOUT SHE GAVE ME AGEFT FOR THE NIGHT THAT I DID NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL I WISH THAT I KNOW HER NAME AND ALSO MR MOHAMED KEDER AT THE RECAPTION WAS VERY HELPFUL THANK YOU ALL FOR THE GREAT EXPERIENCE.

The room had an overpowering musk smell when we walked in. The bathroom vent was dirty. The bath and bath walls mildew/mold on them. The shower curtain smelled bad and was dirty. We ended up buying a febreze spray for the room. The TV never worked. The safe was outdated. In general, cleanliness was not optimal.
The proximity to local stores and train stations. Fast and early check in and they provided a pass for bus transportation.

We found the staff to be rather unhelpful - they offered curt answers and it felt as though we were disturbing them.
This hotel is very economical and has a great location. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. I wish the beds were more firm. There are all sorts of restaurants and shops nearby, as you are in the heart of Interlaken.

Not as nice as pictures made it seem. Mold in shower, beds were very uncomfortable. The mattress was visibly misshaped and you would roll to the center.
Location was convenient for our stay.

It was dirty, damp, and the room was very small. The towels were old and threadbare. There was a hairdryer but there was no way to plug it in.

We stayed in a four-bedded room on the first floor. The toilet was smelly. We requested cleaning service, but the staff just came, sprayed some detergent, and flushed the toilet. After that, the toilet still smelled of urine. The staff was not polite when answering our questions.
Location was near the bus stop. Easy to reach.

The property is old and needs updating. The smell in the hallway smells like pinesol & musty. Everything in the building is so old.
We liked the location & the convenience of a very good chinese restaurant just outside of the building.
