Sink in womens toilet on first floor broken and leaking water, no toilet paper at end of day.

Rooms are small but clean and tidy

Location is great, Near Basel SBB station which is a big one. Shared spaces are nice and comfy: cafe bar, big tables to work or read from there, nice outdoor space. The rooms are small but comfortable. Beds have their own black out curtain so you get your privacy.

All of the plugs near each bed are USB ports, and I am not comfortable using USB ports to plug in my phone, because USB ports are more vulnerable to being hacked. I would feel more comfortable plugging my phone in a regular electrical socket, which they have plenty of in the common room and cafe downstairs. On a separate note, inside each of the bedroom lockers is a metal divider in the middle, and this metal divider prevented my backpack from fitting into the locker. Without the metal divider in the middle of the locker, my bags would have fit inside. Lastly, the WiFi is also not secure… It should be secure (should not say unsecured or weak security). I also found the nightly rate to be a bit pricey. Other than those three issues, everything else was great! I would stay again if I find myself in Basel!

I loved everything about the property. It is clean, modern, and it is in a great location (and a short easy walk from the main train station). The staff were also great, helpful, and friendly… and the food and drinks that they offer are great!

It's a hotel with bunk beds. It would be so easy for them to start to organize nightly events so backpackers/solo travelers could interact. It is a little difficult to meet people here but there is the opportunity. There were families with kids but I didn't really think it was a problem.

The staff was amazing and the bar was great. Like others have said, this is less of a hostel and more of a hotel. It's nice, the bar is great and common area is excellent. The rooms were also great, although mine was 1 locker short.

When I have to overnight in Basel, i always prefer this hostel at first. Location is wonderful. Employees are very nice and helpful. Guest profile is also good which is important for shared rooms i think. Rooms are fine enough for a hostel. Bed, sheets, towels etc were all clean.

I didn't have breakfast because it seemed expensive for how simple it was. Although I did check in online, when I arrived I had to do it again in person because the system did not work.

Very good location, 300 meters from the central station and 20 minutes walk from the old town. Very large comfortable room. Common spaces such as kitchen and living room, spacious and well equipped

No air-con in rooms (Basel is very hot in summer), Only 2 bathrooms and a shower room shared between one floor of at least 7/8 dorms isn't enough ideally for when busy. Strange place to hold charity/book author event in middle of hall on a saturday afternoon, this took away alot of the guest seating.
