How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A little way out from town although close to public transport connections. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Clean, comfortable room with enough space for us. Friendly greeting from reception and good check in process. Free onsite parking a big plus and arrival by car easy as near motorway connections.

Price was a high for a basic hotel, but I guess that is Switzerland prices

I wanted a double room but ended up with a double bed. When I saw the room with double beds, they were two twin beds. So you are better off selecting the double bed... The food at the restaurant is okay and looks better than it tastes, especially the burgers (sausage rather than beef-tasting) and fries (hard and dry).
The hotel is a nice clean hotel with small rooms that just meet your basic needs. It's a decent place to stay nothing fancy. They offer apples or pears which was a nice touch.

ibis is known for basic stay. However the room was very small and basic amenities such as a hot water kettle was not there. It was definitely not value for money.
The location is very good where the bus stop is right across the street. The staff members were excellent and always ready to help.

The breakfast could have been better. They are taking 18 Fr for breakfast and still there is no scrambled egg or sausages. Nothing. You will only get boiled egg option. They should increase options.
It was a pleasant stay at Ibis. The bed was comfortable. Room size is ok. They have their own parking lot. In front of the hotel there is a Coop Pronto.

As most of the hotel rooms, there is no noise insulation between the rooms, there is a weird scent in the tap water.
Friendly staff, easy check-in/out, clean room, comfortable bed, clean bed linens and duvet covers.

The hotel is located pretty far from the center, so our usual way of getting everywhere mostly by foot was not optimal. But you can get here by the public transport, so that was just minor inconvenience. The hair dryer in the room could be a bit more powerful. There was no AC in the room, which I find not optimal, but at the time of our stay it was not necessary.
The staff was open and helpful! We had 2 separate reservations due to oversight (we would almost have no stay on one of the nights) and we were informed regarding the options we have and the most optimal solutions for our case - it was a bit tricky, as we had different type of rooms for both reservations. The room was clean and cosy. The breakfast was tasty, plenty of options and bonus points for local organic products!

The desk clerks were very helpful aa were the cleaning staff
The Bed was not comfortable, the pillows we way to soft almost like having no pillow at all. The breakfast was the worst we have ever had, we stayed 11 days and there was no changed in the food being offered. There were no choices the same every day. The food was not very tasty. the service was poor.

The location was 10-20 minutes by taxi from Zurich and taxis are expensive in Zurich.
The hotel was very nice and luckily it had its own restaurant as it was quite far from anything.
