Wow, I cannot recommend this place enough. Wish we had been here longer. Loads going on and the bed was so so comfy especially after a night on a sleeper train. Would recommend everyone to go. Great vibes, great bar, lovely staff.

The staff is incredibly friendly, Penny was always there if I had a question. All of her colleagues are just as nice. There is free coffee in the morning. We didn't try the food but it looked delicious. One thing the hostel can improve: every time a new person arrives in the room, the code for the room has to change. Typing in the number has a loud noise and can disturb sleep, the number changed 4 times for my two night stay. Also I wish the toilet in the room would've been cleaned more often. It is a hostel so you'll meet different people. Some think taking a shower at 2am in the morning is a good idea, some people are just not washing their clothes and you can smell them in the whole room or some people think chatting/having a call just in the hallway in the middle of the night is no problem. This has nothing to do with the hostel, I wish people would be more considerate. To end this note with a positive: the bar is very lively with outside visitors, the cocktails are super delicious, try their homemade whisky tea cocktail!

This stay at Sonderia Hostel exceeded my expectations! The environment is clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable, and the public areas are designed with a lot of atmosphere. Laura, the staff member, was super friendly and patient in answering questions, and also recommended local niche games. The location is also very convenient, close to the subway/attractions, and the value for money is extremely high! Highly recommended for backpackers and student parties.

My first time in a hostel so didn’t know what to expect. It turned out amazing well. It has a relaxed atmosphere. Nice neighbourhood. Famous blanket noodle house around the corner. And a very welcoming local craft beer bar near by. The whole place looks & feels stylish. Double room was comfortable. Staff amazing. Especially Nicole who was super helpful & kind. Very highly recommended.

The bed was a bit hard but we had a good sleep nevertheless.

Perfect on-budget accommodation. We were getting clean towels every day -which was great. Staff are pretty friendly and speak good English. There was free coffee in the morning which a really nice start to our day. There were also complementary toothbrushes, toothpaste and a hair comb. 🙂

It was so wise to choose this B & B! The location is excellent, the surrounding attractions can be reached on foot, and it is very convenient to play. The room was clean and well appointed. The smart appliances were convenient and easy to use. Laura also enthusiastically introduced us to the adventures. She was so sweet and didn't hesitate to give us a five-star rating. There's also a pet cat here. It's so cute.

Once you set foot in this B & B, you are attracted to its unique style.The wooden furniture is paired with vintage décor and the ambience is full.The room is very well lit. The sun shines in in the morning and the mood is especially pleasant. The breakfast offered at the B & B is also very large, all suitable for foreign cuisine, fresh and delicious. Enjoyed every day of staying here. I recommend five stars for everyone! Laura's coffee is delicious.

This bed and breakfast experience was amazing! The room was super warmly furnished, every detail revealed the owner's care. The bed was soft and comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. There is also a garden in the common area, which is very pleasant to visit in your leisure time. The service was even more remarkable. The staff was warm and attentive and always answered their requests. It felt as comfortable as at home. I must have a five-star rating! Laura provided us with a lot of travel information, thank you very much. Damon is a very good boss.

Place is super chill nice vibe fantastic bar on the ground floor the people that work there Penny and Daemon are fantastic super friendly and easy to vibe like old friends. They had a hot pot party that was fun also and in general was perfect place to be to meet other travelers or just start exploring Chengdu on your own. The room also was good

I visited several hostels in Chengdu, but from the moment I walked in, this one felt the most welcoming. The staff was always there to answer even my strangest questions about the city - huge thanks to Nicole, Penny, Damian(?) and everyone else for being so friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the bar/café had a cozy vibe that completely transformed in the evening with live singing performances (but still relaxed). Thank you for a great stay - hope to return someday!
