Very helpful, friendly and outgoing staff, Nicole helped me rent an electric scooter and was very competent and friendly. Everyone makes you feel welcome, the atmosphere is open and invites you to socialize, perfect if you seek to meet new people and exchange with other travelers Delicious free Coffee for Breakfast (5 Yuan extra for a very good Cappuchino). Highlight was the free Hot Pot Party organized by the Sonderia staff where we had dinner with around 15 international travelers.

The property is clean and secure, the staff really make the place a great place to be, especially for solo travellers. Penny is excellent at her job and helped so much with travel and suggestions - I would have had a completely different experience without her help. Laura is also great and was a big help.

Perfect facilities, lovely staff are the reason for the success of this shop, Laura will prepare your coffee every morning, and will greet you with a warm smile when you return. There is a gym and laundry room on the third floor, although we have not used them, but they say they can be used, and a gym. It's free 24 hours a day. It's amazing. And they have a lot of tour groups for us, we also booked their one-day tour of Leshan. Very happy.

Thank you so much to lovely Laura for the free coffee every morning. There are a lot of different things going on here, from a hot pot party on Monday to a dumpling party on Wednesday. There is also a buy one get one free beer event every day, which makes us very happy, because we like drinking beer very much. You can make a lot of friends and English speaking staff here so that everything is easy to travel.

Everything was great!

It exceeded my expectations. The private room was nice and comfortable. Just what I needed a clean room with a comfy bed and AC. They had a lamp in the room which was a perfect dim light.

Everything was good

Everything. The checkin process is simple, rooms are fantastic and it has an amazing bar area downstairs. There are great eateries to grab food off the street or in restaurants. Ideal location for attractions and using the Chengdu Metro/Bus system. A big ‘shout out’ to Penny who was amazing and so easy to chat to - and thank you for sorting out the airport shuttle 😂

The hallway and room are a little dirty

Spacious room. Very kind staff, helped with late check-in and calling a taxi the next morning. The hostel hosts events, but unfortunately we didn’t attend them.

The walls are a bit thin so you can hear the other guests in other rooms, but nothing too distracting.

The Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel room was comfortable, very good value for money. Hotel offers many tours and experiences so good for people who cant speak chinese/never been to china before.

Staff are super friendly. Special shout out to Lula, who was helpful with both activities and sourcing a coffee. Great service, greeting, and enthusiasm. Everyone I met seemed genuinely glad to speak with me. Restaurant/bar area was a nice place to gather and hang out or relax. And a vocalist on Saturday night was an unexpected bonus.

Penny and the team were amazing hosts and 10/10 service. Great communication before you arrive. She also kindly helped me receive a package that had been shipped to me. I arrived in the early hours of the morning and woke up early to see the pandas. They were kind enough to give me a late check out so I could come back nap and shower. The location is great and some good noodle restaurants nearby.

We couldn’t have asked for a more friendly welcome in Chengdu. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The hotpot party was lovely. Penny who works at the hostel accompanied us on the panda volunteering program which was very special. It’s easy to get around from the hotel you can walk or get a taxi easily to the different parts of Chengdu. There are nice restaurants very close by. The bar downstairs has a cool atmosphere.

The wifi in our room didn’t work in the last day of our stay, so I had to connect in other room since the password is the same. Also, there was some worm-like creatures crawling from under the sealants around the sink. We didn’t notice it until our last day also in the hostel.

Location was superb. The bed was comfortable and the staff were very nice. Generally, the room was clean, and there’s free water refill in the corridor.

The staff was so nice, we did a hotpot with the host and it was amazing to learn from Chinese culture. Thanks a lot to Nicole for the food recommendation and for teaching me how to play mahjong ! Super friendly staff !

The place is a nice cozy back-packer inn with great English speaking staff that are super helpful. We took private rooms and it was perfect for our first taste of Chengdu. Nicole in particular is an amazing help!
