I stayed for almost a week in this lovely place. Easygoing vibes, good location with the Wenshu monastery within walking distance and the staff was superbly friendly and helpful (particular shout out to Green who help with booking tickets and was a go to person for all sorts of questions as well as Nicole who patiently helped me out with my repeatedly failing alipay.) Big cheers to the team there!

I had an amazing stay here in Chengdu ! Travelling in China can be challenging for foreigners, and the staff helped me a lot to arrange my visits. They were giving all the necessary time to help guests. The beds were comfortable and the vibe was cool.

It has recently been renovated and renovated cheaply so not everything worked. The rain show showered the toilet but it had a hand held as well so no problem. Some of the corridors are either fashionably slightly dilapidated or in need of work.

Sondeira Hostel and Bar exceeded my expectations. It was comfortable and clean. Despite having a bar downstairs it was quiet. The bar was an added advantage after a long day sightseeing. The staff were fabulous. Not all spoke English but all helped. Its near the temple district and Line 1 subway.

During my stay in winter it was generally a bit cold in the hostel and it was hard to get the room to temperature as the bed was relatively low.

Conveniently located near the Wenshuyuan Monastery with many restaurants in the direct neighborhood. Especially the receptionist Lora and Nicole were super helpful with booking tickets for the various attractions the city has to offer. Also their English level was way above average for China which made the stay super convenient. The hostel also offer free events like hot pot or making your own dumplings.

I was very happy with my stay. When I had questions, Nicole was very helpful. She showed me all the facilities. She also helped me with difficulities I had as a forgeiner with booking a visit to the Panda research center.

I had had a fantastic stay at Sonderia Hostel during a short term visit. The hostel's location is great, my room was comfortable, and the bar downstairs is really cozy. The staff were also incredibly helpful—especially Nicole, who went above and beyond to help me solve an unexpected issue with baggage that I lost at the airport. Nicole not only communicated with the airport staff but also made sure that the items were express-delivered to the hostel the next day! It was thanks to Nicole's support that didn't have to worry and could fully enjoy my time in the city. I fully recommend staying at Sonderia if you are traveling to Chengdu.

Wish it was closer to the subway station. It's about 10 minutes which is still not bad.

Good Value. The staff is super friendly. Free Coffee in the morning between 9 and 10am, or if you choose Latte or Cappuccino it's only 5 RMB. I've been there for a week and my morning routine have been a coffee made by Savannah before I go about wandering out in the city. They have activities Monday and Wednesday evening as well, one of which was a dumpling making which was fun. With these activities you get to meet other fellow international travellers. Living here felt like home and I highly recommend it.

There is some gap between the door of the shower room which cause the floor to be wer after each shower.

The Lazybones Hostel was my favourite stay in China. The hostel had the friendliest team and we’re always ready to help us at a moments notice. We got to immerse ourselves in their amazing Chinese culture and make great friends. Overall an amazing experience would highly recommend. P.S. Shoutout Nicole for being such an amazing staff, she was incredibly helpful and made fire coffee!

I liked staying there and have to issues with my stay there.

The staff was friendly and worked hard to solve any issue I had. Lori arranged DiDi transportation and opera tickets for me and used her account to purchase the tickets as I had no way to do that. Of course I paid her right back and I tried to give her extra money for the work she did for me. She refused the money and said it was part of her job to help the customer. Great customer service. Michael held a cooking class on how to make dumpling and we got to eat them. The purpose of the activity was for travelers to get together and share stories. I enjoyed getting to meet and talk with the other hotel guests. I also like the hotel’s commitment to saving energy and other natural resources,
