Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe hotel was super clean but the room is small. However, it is excellent value for the money because clean comes first. Julie was very kind. She welcomed us warmly, helped us book a tour to the great wall which was cheaper than other sites and even ordered us a taxi when we left. She even stayed with us until the driver made it to make sure we are okay. It was really nice overall.

The team at the hotel were very kind and helpful, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. It is pretty well located near Zhangzizhonglu and Beixinqiao subway (directly to PEK airport). You can go walking to many attractions. Definitely, if I return to Beijing I'll stay there.

United KingdomI highly recommend staying at East Sacred Hotel for its unbeatable location, just a short distance from the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace. Whether you're in Beijing for sightseeing or exploring the city's rich history, the hotel offers easy access to these iconic landmarks, making it the perfect place to stay. The surrounding area, Dongsi North Street in Dongcheng, is filled with a wide variety of local restaurants that cater to all budgets. From affordable spots serving delicious traditional Chinese cuisine to more upscale options, there’s something for everyone. What made our experience even better was that all the restaurants had English menus, making ordering food effortless and stress-free. The combination of a prime location, great food options, and hassle-free dining made our stay at East Sacred Hotel memorable. We will definitely be coming back again!

United KingdomThere was nothing wrong with this hotel at all.
We went as a family of four adults and from the moment we arrived at this hotel the staff were nothing but friendly and supportive. We arrived in China as newbies and soon discovered that it is difficult to make payments on card, but the staff explained Alipay for us and even made personal purchases when we had payment difficulties and allowed us to transfer the money back to them directly. The East Sacred hotel was is in a wonderful location which is very close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are basic but what else do you need to explore the wonders China has to offer. A nice selection of traditional local foods were provided for breakfast as part of the service and it was very tasty. I highly recommend this hotel and their wonderful friendly staff team to anyone wanting to visit Beijing. If we ever return it would be a pleasure to stay with you again. Thank you so much Leo and the team you helped to create some beautiful memories that we will treasure forever.

ItalyThe hotel is located in a strategic point, as it is close to a subway stop that allows you to reach the main attractions and also the Capital airport. The staff was nice and helpful, especially Julie. The room was clean and quiet. They offer western and chinese breakfast with both sweet and salty food. Absolutely recommended.

United KingdomOnly one minor quibble.... The seal around the shower was a bit tired so there was sometimes water leakage after a shower, but it was never too bad.
I really enjoyed my stay at the East Sacred Hotel. The breakfast was excellent and offered a good selection of Chinese and Western items. There were more Chinese options, obviously enough, but that worked well for me as I quite like Chinese food. I was given a free upgrade. The original room would have been fine, but having an upper floor room further from the centre of activity was welcomed. My room was spotlessly clean and made up every day. The location was excellent, a 5-minute walk from Beixinqiao Station which provides service to Beijing Capital Airport. The hotel is centrally located, with most sites being no more than 15-20 minutes away by metro. Best of all, the staff. Absolutely everybody was lovely. The housekeepers were unfailingly polite and welcoming, the desk staff went out of their way to be helpful. Lily is an absolute star. I've stayed in many hotels around the world, including 5-star hotels. The East Sacred Hotel ranks among the best for staff. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Beijing again.

United KingdomThere was nothing I disliked about the property. My room was quite small (because I booked the budget room). If I booked a normal room, then it would have been much bigger. This notwithstanding, my experience was exceptional.
The place was really close to the main tourist sites of Beijing. Tiananmen and Tiantan are a few subway stops away with the Lama Temple a short 10 min walk. There are plenty of food shops around the area where one can experience food across China. The breakfast atrium was also very bright and conducive to meet people. Coffee and tea are always available and free. A special mention needs to be given to Julie who made me stay more comfortable. She provided me with things that I had forgotten and arranged a tour for the Great Wall for me. She also made reservations for Tiananmen Square. She was exceptional and made my stay truly wonderful.
