Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThere was supposed to be a terrace to sit and hang out - it's closed and used as bedding storing now and this is very stange and dissapointing.
The location was really good, indeed a walking distance to the shrines is a few minutes. Located in a Tibetan district, a chance to eat local food, buy some stuff etc. Room was nice, quite spacious and well-equipped. Staff was helpful and spoke some English. Nice but very Chinese breakfast. Almost free washing of clothes.- amazing.

AustraliaMosquitos. In one bedroom the window could not be completely closed so it was noisy. No lift. Corresponding through Booking.com messaging was not very responsive. The current phone number is incorrect because we were not able to call the hotel on it.
Near Jin Li street and lots of restaurants. The reception can assist with buying Sichuan Opera and Panda Base tickets. There is a laundry available. Staff are friendly though English is very limited. They were helpful in getting us taxis. We communicated through a translation app.

United StatesThe metro is a bit far (11 minutes when walking fast; Gaoshengqiao station). It was good enough, but a 5-minute walk to the metro would have been better. We stayed here in early January, and the heater in our room was inconsistent. So sometimes it was a bit cold. But this wasn't a deal-breaker for us, and at least the shower has very warm water even in the early morning.
We will stay at this hotel again when we come back to Chengdu! It was almost everything we wanted, and exactly like the listing. The rooms are clean and like the pictures, and daily housekeeping was exceptional. The front desk was very helpful, and the morning staff spoke good English. The bed was normal Chinese hard but all was as you could expect and hope for. 100% blackout curtains made sleep good also. The hotel is in the Little Tibet area of town, lots of restaurants and stores, and only a few minutes walk to the Jinli walking street and the Wu Hou Shrine. SUPER quiet at night since it is on an alley, which we loved. Affordable souvenir and cheap luggage shops right across the street for taking extra stuff home, too! The metro is an 11 minute walk for a New Yorker (a bit far), but it is close enough that you can use the metro instead of a taxi. The metro stop is the well-connected Gaoshengqiao station (5 and 3 metro lines), so it is very close to all the important things in Chengdu. This hotel's location is great overall. For the price, we were very happy with this hotel. It was not a luxury hotel, but it also is not a ghetto hotel. Foreigners who are not overly picky will be happy here.

I have no regret in choosing the same hotel for 2nd time stay after returning from Tibet. Affordable with free simple Chinese breakfast. Strategic location near Jinli Street and Metro within 10 min walking Many restaurant nearby. Polite and helpful staff that I could rely on because my document was delivered safely by the hotel before my arrival for check in. Slipper, kettle, free drinking water, black tea sachet are provided.

ItalyThe door of the room was a bit broken, it would still close but I would have to really slam it from the outside when leaving. Same for the shower door, that did not close at all. A minor problem but a bit annoying.
The hostel is located in a very interesting alley surrounded by tibetan shops and it is right next to a temple you can go and visit as well. From there you can reach the city centre easily on foot or with the metro. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable with good WiFi. Since it is in a secondary alley it is also very quiet. I think the lady at the reception can also speak a bit of English but we mainly talked in Chinese. I also had breakfast there and it was really good (chinese style breakfast) with mantou, rice, a few vegetables, soups, tea and eggs. The staff also helped me book a place for the Sichuan Opera (do it well in advanced if you want good spots, in tourist season it is hard to find any seats at all) and I also booked a mahjong lesson with them and it was super fun, you basically play with the staff for at least 3 hours and get complimentary tea and fruit.
