The facilities were a bit old and the bathroom could be cleaner such as the shower curtain.

The location was great if you want to visit the Stone Forest and the JuXiang Caves in a compact schedule. The breakfast was spicy ersi noodle soup or local dumpling soup, it was very tasty. The owner was very helpful and nice. She even gave us extra blankets without us asking in case we were cold. Very thoughtful ! The heater was powerful and we were warm quickly in the room. It was super quiet at night and we woke up with roosters in the morning.

This is a simple homestay, yet I cannot think of anything else I would like to add in our bedrooms. The place was clean and everything worked as it should (from the shower to the kettle), and this believe me is not always the case in Chinese hotels. We travelled four together, parents and two teenagers. We all love the cuteness of the place and the friendliness of our host (who can speak just enough English to communicate efficiently - and this is a rare find). Our host was happy to serve a nice Chinese breakfast with different steamed breads, tea and fruits. The street is quiet, however offers a few restaurants and shops, all you need for an easy and relaxing stay. It is about 15min away with taxi from the ticket office of the Stone Forrest - this UNESCO site is a wonder of nature and I would recommend to dedicate a full day for exploring the different areas (and get away from the crowd !)

We really enjoy our 2 nites stay at this Cosy homestay whereby the lady Boss is always helpful to assist us to go to Shillin Stone Forest by arranging Taxi which charges are quite reasonable and also to the HSR station.

The restaurant I chose to eat sheep meat was not delicious at all. I've eaten much tastier sheep in Shangdong province.

So surprised to get picked up at Stone Forest by the host to the Guesthouse. That was such a warm welcome. Host washed my clothes immediately and looked online to help me book for Dali the following day. Everything was taken care of. The kindest host ever who really tried to make everything work. Breakfast was a delicious traditional chinese breakfast with fresh steamed buns. After breakfast my driver was waiting to drive me to the station. Couldn't have been any more comfortable than this. If you're planning the afternoon at the Stone Forest than this is the best choice.

Absolutely nothing

The staff was amazing, very helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to help get my necklace back, which was entirely my fault for having it left behind. They found it at the physical therapist where I took it off, expedite it via airmail to Shanghai where it was returned to me. Thank you all wonderful people for care and assistance. I took the train from Kunming and then a taxi, but could as well taken the Bus #99 . Transport was fast, easy, clean and for a fraction of the cost in my area. Thank you for pointing out the cave visit. and the way to the stone forrest. I specially enjoyed the guest friendship of the aunties in the village, showing me the dance and letting me dance with them around the fireplace. So many things reminded me of Greece so many years ago, the landscape the red earth, the temperature, the hard working people, the hospitality. It was and experience to see when dancing the temperament and then when the audience was listening the more calm demeanor , like in my German village. Thank you again.

Just bare necessity. Hardly any tissue paper in the room!

Very convenient location but a simple, quite run down homestay. If u want convenience of movement, its a go, for comfort, a no no. From Kunming hi speed rail station, take subway to East Car station ( 东车场）， walk out main door and turn right, there is the bus taking us to Shilin homestay. The lady worker is super helpful with out movement to go Shilin n airport.

The host is a wonderful person who really made my trip exceptional! She went out of her way to arrange for a taxi to p;ick me up from the airport for a late night arrival, and even helped arrange a taxi for my next leg of the journey at another airport and hotel in China. She was so friendly and accommodating the whole time. Staying here felt like staying with family. The rooms are nice and have individual temperature controls. The location is perfect for visiting the Stone Forest. Can't say enough good things about this place!

The beds, a little stiff, but it is the case in China.

Thank you so much for the staff who, despite not speaking English so much, organised my arrival from France to their hotel. They arranged me the taxi from Kunming aiport late at night, and then all the taxi transfer to the stone forest, and then back to Shilin train station at a fair price. The hotel is located in Wukeshu village, which a modern minority village. It is a 10mn drive to the Stone forest. It is very calm. the breakfast is absolutely amazing (baba, fresh fruits, tea, porridge, local jam and so on). The room was simple yet very clean. (Yes, some roosters in the morning though). FYI, there is a rapid train line from Shilin to Honghe.Gejiu (1h), which is a 2-3h drive to the ricefields villages. Therefore you can go to the Stone forest, and then be in the ricefields in the same day without having to go back to Kunming.

The aunty was very friendly and helped us a lot. The location was in a quiet village and we could walk to stone forest (30 mins). Some nice Chinese restaurants in the area and a town square with a fire and traditional dancing. We had a very relaxed time here.
