I liked everything...even the staff conversation and laughs that you can hear from your bedroom. Maybe in the evening after 9 30 pm,, they should respect a ..loud voice curfew.

Joye and his co-workers/volounteers are the nicest and most helpful people you will ever meet along your trip. They helped me booking trains, guesthouses, bus, change currency , rent bike, they even delivered my suitcase to an other town! They also arrange awesome tours to the main attractions around. The rooms are big and clean. Breakfast is awesome. Do yourself a favour and spend few nights at Xilu Xiaoxie Inn.

I enjoyed everything, I've nothing to complain.

First of all, the owner was one of the most friendly we met and one of the few capable to speak in english during this vacation. That was helpful lot, in particular he was fundamental for me to purchase some medicine and save the rest of the vacation. The staff was also very helpuf to welcome us and bring our luggages from the gate to the hotel and other way round. We had a room upgrade and we really enjoyed the overall comfort. This place is really a gem.

I was prepared pay for 6 nights at the inn while I took an overnight trip somewhere else. I was surprised to find my luggage and belongings all moved to another room while my original room was given to someone else when I returned. While I appreciated that they were trying to help me save money (they only charged me for 5 nights), I wish they had told me in advance that they were going to do that.

Everything could be planned and organised spontaneously and speedily by the inn, whether you wanted to go to the mountains, Lugu lake, horse riding, or hiking. The manager, Joye, is warm and welcoming, has excellent connections, and can organise day tours and overnight trips and drivers at an affordable price. Staff like Kyrie were also very kind and kept offering me food, tea, coffee, every time I stepped into the inn. The decor is lovely traditional Chinese with modern touches in the room. I also loved the two huskies:)

This place is a haven. Just off the bustling high street, it's a welcoming oasis. The rooms were exceptional, and great value, accompanied with conversation and advice. It's a perfect base for an exploration of the incredible mountains nearby. We arrived, were served great tea, and by the end of our gentle introduction had our bus tickets to the Tiger Leaping Gorge all sorted, and a set of brilliant recommendations for dinner. An amazing place to stay.

They help to plan your trip to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lugu Lake etc., and offer to safeguard luggage while you are away for those adventures. From helping us navigate the maze-like streets of Lijiang, to recommending great restaurants, to helping with other travel issues, Joye and his team went the extra mile. We left with great memories and gratitude for the time we spent there!

That I couldn't stay more.

Couldn't recommend more this inn, the place is great, confortable, clean and recently refurbished, but what makes the difference is the staff. The hospitality and help they offer makes them invaluable. They came and picked us up because we got lost, helped us organise day trips and excursions, guided us to restaurants and ATMs. Any help you need they'll provide and their English is impeccable, definitely if you go to Lijiang, book at Xilu Xiaoxie.

Best stay in my entire 2-month China trip that I had to extend another night. The guesthouse is run by the most amazing team lead by Joey and his excellent team of Kyrie and many others including. volunteers. It felt like family! The location is right in the heart of the old town closer to the south gate. Updated units with a relaxing courtyard and beautiful bug furry dogs! The entire staff took care of the trio from picking up, planning itinerary (in Lijiang and beyond), even laundry! If I ever come back I want to stay with this fantastic team! Don’t think twice before booking.

A minor point is that the room we have is a bit cramped.

Being inside the old town makes it accessible to food and shops. The staff (Joye, Kyrie) are chatty and super helpful with tips and advice on what to do and eat. They both can communicate well in English. I love the ability to do laundry as they have washer and dryer. The place is inaccessible by car but the staff happily helps us with our luggage.
