The hotel is in a fantastic location directly opposite the old city wall. We found it a little confusing on arrival as there is no obvious name outside and the front looks slightly different than in the pictures. As two British travellers with no Mandarin language skills we could communicate with staff very easily through translation apps. Our room was on the top floor which we would recommend as that allowed us to see the top of the wall and beyond, rooms lower down seemed likely to just have a view of the wall. Room was clean and spacious, although lacked wardrobe space. The shower appears to leak under the floor and it and the toilet had confusing controls. Appreciated the free self service washing machine and dryer.

Breakfast wasn't included and it was difficult for us to find a sit-down breakfast - we were sent to the nearby corner, where there are many stalls with long queues of people buying traditional Chinese breakfasts, but wasn't quite what we were looking for. The Bengal cats in the lobby are beautiful, but we felt sad for them in the glass cages all day. We did ask them to let one out to cuddle and play with one evening, which we did, and were able to feed them treats. But I hope they are out more than that for exercise and play.

We decided to arrive a day early and the staff was able to find us a room, with a nice discount, that was great for our family. The following day we moved to the room we had booked, which was amazing - the family room with private courtyard. The courtyard is beautiful and has a seating area overlooking the wall. Perfect. Staff is very accomodating, friendly and helpful, and worked with translator apps to bridge the language barrier. Location is amazing - right next to the wall, and a few blocks from the South Gate.

The staff was super friendly! Like my other reviews I don't care if they speak English or not. They were all engaged and really wanted to help out. I've also prolonged my stay here, and it went super smooth since the personal was good at their job. They had engagement that surprised me.

The AC wasn’t working and the only way to keep the room cool was to have the windows open which unfortunately can be loud and smokey at night.

The location of the hotel is excellent! It’s easy to get all over the city. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathroom is in great shape.

I have to say that I really did not like the use of animals as decorations. There are 4 cats in a small cage and a baby see turtle in a small basin swimming in circles.

I stayed here with my wife and really enjoyed the nights here. The facilities and the room exceded my expectations. The room was spacious with a sofa for drinking tee while looking at the City Wall. The bathroom was hight-end in everything. We also made use of the laundry room to wash our clothes. It was for free. Also, I want to highlight the attention of the staff with us. They booked taxis (cheap) and made some reservations for us. The front desk is open basically 24/7 despite what is stated in booking with regards to the check-in hours.

Great stay at this boutique hotel. Location is great facing one part of Xian City Wall. Beds are so comfortable and room was clean. Down the road on the right are many stalls for breakfast and on the left will be about 7-10 mins walk to the main part of the wall. The staff were very helpful and nice, booking us cabs to get around. We primarily used translation apps to communicate from eng- mandarin. Loved that I could do my laundry for free as well.

The hotel is literally in front of the Wall and is a 15-20 min walk to the South Gate Entrance for The Wall. It's also a 15-20 min walk or two bus stops to the Drum Tower,Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. There's plenty of food options around the corner from the hotel and they offer free local ice pops. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The laundry facilities are also free. Also The garden area is very nice and have a nice view of people walking on The Wall. The rooms are comfortable and spacious.

I found it distressing that they keep their cats in a tiny cage - 6 cats locked in a very small cage all day, every day is just cruel. As a result of the cats in a cage, the reception area smells a bit of cat pee. Although the location was central, the food area around the corner was dirty and very crowded. One word of advice: give the Terracotta Warriors a miss at this time of year - it was the worst experience of my life. Long queues to get into the place, hoardes and hoardes of people pushing and shoving to get into the pits. A major safety issue with people 10 deep trying to see the warriors in Pit 1. A huge waste of money as it wasn't possible to see anything due to the crowds. The toilets were unspeakably disgusting as well.

The location was very central for the Wall and it was easy to get around and find places to eat. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff don't speak any English so communication was done through WeChat.

Great location near Zhuque gate inside the Ancient City Wall. All attractions can be reached by walk; but out of the mess of the downtown. Place quiet and clean. Great atmosphere. Price fair.
