The food was amazing, a lot of choice! The room was very clean and on point, The Staff were very helpful Especially Audrey and Kyrie, they really assisted to have a very comfortable staff, even for late check out as my flight was later in the evening.

The reception staff didn't seem very friendly, not even a smile on their face to greet you. Other than that the main issue for me was the language barrier... no one spoke English when I needed help

Almost nobody is speaking English. I have been coming to this hotel for more the 6 years and every year less and less people speak English.

The bath shower did not function and there were minor chips on the bath.

The internet speed in the room was very slow. Speed not more than 1 Mbps. Sometime around 0.28 Mbps. I was obliged to go to the reception area where the speed is around 10 Mbps.

Wow! Beautiful, typical French hotel. So close to Hongqiao airport if you catch the flight nearby, that is the best hotel you can choose.

Dining options were poor. Air con was not working. We could not turn off the bathroom lights and having already had staff in once who pulled a circuit breaker to turn off the entry light, we slept with them on as we had an early flight and not many hours to sleep. Signage was poor.

Room size was generous. Once upon a time it would have beeb grand.

My stay at sofitel was absolutely flawless from check-in to checkout. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect—friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with luxurious amenities (the bed was like sleeping on a cloud!). Location couldn’t be better: close to airport, yet peacefully quiet. The breakfast buffet offered delicious variety, and the on-site Chinese restaurantexceeded expectations. Special shout-out to molly and audrey for their outstanding service!
