The isolation in between rooms is not really good.

The hotel is really cute, easily accessible. Staff is really nice and help us with our different demands. I would recommend it!

There's nothing to dislike. However, they should mention on their website that cars can drive into their 'hutong' (narrow alley). My driver parked at an open air carpark 200 metres away and we walked all the way on the uneven streets with my heavy bags.

The whole concept - 13 rooms built into the nooks, corners and rooftops of an ancient courtyard home was to me, magical and wonderful! It did not fall short of my expectations. The decor was extremely tasteful. As usual, it's the staff that make or break a place - in this case, Alice (who said she wasn't the manager, but certainly acted like one) and the reception girls (in their flowy Ming Dynasty robes) were sweet, intuitive and extremely helpful.

The ventilation wasn’t the best in some areas, but that’s also because it’s a hutong, so that’s perfectly understandable.

The property was well maintained and in a good location to explore the other hutongs around the area.

We visited in Golden Week and the Hutong was very busy so getting to the property from the subway took a lot of time to get through the crowds. However, this is not the property’s fault. Just something to bear in mind if you visit in Golden week.

It is located in a Hutong which is very exciting for travellers. Loads of shops and places to get some street food nearby. Even though the hutong was very busy, the property is on a side street off the main lane. the room is so quiet and we didn’t hear a thing and slept well. The suite was incredible. Ours was a listed as a ‘small’ but it was so big, with a huge bathroom, a lounge, very big bed and bedroom and a walk in wardrobe. The property is beautiful. The breakfast served everyday was delicious and always had plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. There is a rooftop where you can have drinks or some afternoon tea watching the sun set over Beijing. Afternoon tea is served everyday, this was such a treat to eat freshly prepared fruit everyday. Free laundry service is provided which is so helpful. Finally, a shout out to the staff. all the staff are wonderful. They are so kind, warm and welcoming. The girl on reception helped us set up WeChat and Alipay and was very patient with us when doing so. I completely recommend this accommodation and if I return to Beijing I will stay here again.

We chose it for it’s location and authenticity, so nothing to dislike.

Small boutique hotel in an old part of the city, beautifully renovated to combine old and new. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to bring you back in time.

We were upgraded to a family room, which was a nice gesture, but the layout wasn’t ideal for our group. The main bedroom upstairs was much nicer, and the bathroom was only accessible through it. This setup made it a bit awkward for our friend to use the bathroom (only accessible via the main bedroom), and also didn't feel as fair as he had to take the less appealing room. If we kept the room in our original booking this wouldn't have been an issue as it was all equal. Otherwise everything was great!

The staff were excellent, always going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were readily available to assist with anything, from planning our day to helping with WeChat bookings, arranging taxis, and drivers. They were kind enough to store our bags while we visited the Great Wall for two nights, which was really convenient. Breakfast was excellent, offering a great mix of local and international options. We were welcomed with a lovely afternoon tea that included a selection of Chinese fruits and sweets, which was really nice The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for our luggage. Free water bottles every day. We were upgraded to a larger family room with many amenities, including a washer/dryer and a balcony.

A very lovely and cozy hotel. The bed linens are fresh and soft, and the rooms are impeccably clean. Special thanks to the staff — they are the friendliest and most helpful people! We only stayed for two days, but they managed to assist me with all of my questions. I'll definitely come back for the warm atmosphere and wonderful people. The location is also very convenient — highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is a charming renovation and reimagining of a hutong siheyuan courtyard house. It is an oasis of tranquillity within yards of the craziness that is Nanluoguxiang. You can feel the good fengshui as soon as you enter. The staff are both helpful and delightful and will go to any lengths. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. It is a little pricier than some other hotels in the area, but worth every penny.

Nothing. It was a lovely stay and I was sad to leave after 4 nights

It’s a great location, and felt like a sanctuary/ home-from-home to relax in each evening and morning. I particularly enjoyed the bar before bed. Breakfast was a good blend of western (eggs, sausage, bacon) and local (wonton soup, dumplings etc). They really took care to be available and help! 10 out of 10!!

Need to do a little more up keep and you have to walk about 5 mins to get to the property ! Lots of car service only want to drop you off at the gate. If you carry a lots of luggage, it might be a problem but fortunately the staffs is able to come out and help.

Great location if you like to stroll around different Hutong! Easy to find local street food and shopping is just outside. Walking distance to major attractions!

We would happily stay here again anytime.

We loved staying here. The property is full of character, in the middle of the old Hutong streets full,of local color and liveliness. It has a traditional feel but very modern comfortable facilities, and a lovely rooftop area. The breakfast and “afternoon tea” of fruit are included and wonderful. But what really makes it is the incredibly welcoming and friendly attitude among the staff. It is a small hotel so they recognize you when you come in, and you get such a huge smile it makes your day. They went out of their way to help us with things like restaurant bookings. One thing to note: because it is in the middle of the old narrow streets some taxi drivers don’t like to go there later in the day. If you are coming from the airport, ask the hotel to arrange car.
