Clean and spacious double room, great value for the room rate. Location is just a 5 minute walk from the park entrance. Ralph is a great host and can boom tickets for the national park. Further, he organized luggage transfer to the airport for me to make sure I didn’t have to come back to Wulingyuan after taking a day trip by train from Zhangjiajie.

The only downside was that one of the non-smoking rooms we had smelled of cigarette smoke, and the other non-smoking room (despite having a "no smoking" sign), had an ashtray in the room. Otherwise, just note that the bathrooms are wet rooms, and because they have no other ventilation other than the little extractor fan, they stay damp for a long time. The nearby road outside the hostel is closed, so taxis often have trouble finding the exact location of the hostel, but can easily drop you a few minutes' walk away. Also, the owner is more than happy to chat to them on the phone and give them phone directions if needed.

Lovely place, felt comfortable and homely. The host was exceptional in being helpful, kind and welcoming: he helped with all aspects of booking, recommending itineraries and places to eat as well as being extremely good at communicating by phone and WeChat. Pretty good with English as well. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the location was very convenient to the east entrance of Wulingyuan park, 5-minute walk.

Ralph the hostel owner is amazing. One of, it not the most helpful owner that I've come across on my trip. Gave us plenty of tips, recommendations and alot of his time. His English is excellent if that's something your looking for. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Ralph is very hospitable, friendly and genuine. He has great english and excellent recommendations on how to spend your day in Zhangjiajie National Park. Location is only 10mins walk from the National Park entrance so that was super helpful. Along with close proximity to Wulingyuan Bus Station and local restaurants. Room was clean and maintained. Had a great time here thanks!

Room (bathroom) felt cold during winter, though the host did provide us with additional heater. No lift, so we had to carry the luggage up the stairs.

Sound isolation could be better. I could hear people in neighbouring rooms. Luckily this hostel is on a quiet street and no other guest was loud.

The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. Having someone who is able to speak some English and help me with my trip is a game changer.
