Excellent services provided by the host Mr. Wang. He made sure that we get the location of the home stay well in advance & came out to greet us and help with our luggages upon our arrival. He shared with us tips on the various attractions and helped book transportation. Mr. Wang is very friendly and we got to better understand Dali and the local culture talking to him. The cozy environment of the facilities & common areas make our stay relaxing and pleasant. Room is clean, spacious and comfortable with heating provided even in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and we got to try various local specialities such as rice noodles and “ba ba”. This home stay is within walking distance to the Dali ancient town and there are many restaurants and interesting shops along the way. Overall, good value for money and highly recommended. We will stay in this place again if we ever visit Dali again.

Beautiful property and impeccably decorated room! The room had everything we needed and it was very clean. The family who runs this lodge is so nice and the owner even came and picked us up from Dali train station (if you stay 3 or more nights). Breakfast was a nice touch and the common area was great for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea. Highly recommended!

Everthing was exceptional and exceeded my expectation! The location is close to the ancient city and easy to travel from there as well. The breakfast was a bit limited with choices, but tasty home cooking and well prepared. The reception and communcation prior and during my stay were super!

A positive and a negative really - the location is just outside the Ancient City so it’s quiet (positive) but it’s also a 15-30 min walk into some of the places. Step count was definitely up during my stay.

The staff were really kind and helpful. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Loved the underfloor heating, comfy bed & bath.

Our bed was very soft. Perhaps it is solely my preference, but I would prefer if it is more firm.

The bathroom and the furniture need an update if this price is charged and the bed in the second room is very hard. Breakfast is ok, but should offer much more variety or give the chance to order something you like (sweet cake is not really a healthy breakfast) and only black coffee/tee is not sufficient for the price. On the last day, we had to leave around 7am and paid for the breakfast, but weren't offered anything (not even a coffee or a packed breakfast) which again for the price is not ok.

Very central location yet quiet which was very nice. Very friendly owner and nice yard. The apartment was generally comfortable, the bed in one room was comfortable and the AC worked well.

The inn is close to the southern gate of the old city town. The inn itself is very quiet. The staff is friendly. The room was comfortable.

Privacy was an issue in the suite that we stayed in . It would have been better if the bedroom door, bathroom room and toilet doors can be locked. And the glass doors of the toilet and the bathroom should be all opaque for better privacy since there are at least 2 couples staying in the suite . Lastly , it will be a bonus if there is warmer in the dining hall.

Breakfast was good. Location is excellent. We liked the design of the house ! And Xiao Wang was very helpful! He tried to find out the information we needed. ( forgot to tell him that there were discount for elderly and student for the cable car)

The management was super friendly and supportive of all of our requests for travel plans during the day, meal suggestions, covid testing, and anything else we needed!
