the room was good and clean. could get a little loud sometimes right next to the bar (especially as the hostel was full of Argentinians and they’d just won the World Cup 😹).

really nice setting and atmosphere in this hostel. the pool and garden area is beautiful and it’s a very sociable space. The staff were very helpful, helping me sort laundry and get booked on a tour.

Friendly staff! Lizz and Eunize were very cheerful, chill and helpful <3 thanks for the great atmosphere and good tips !! Breakfast was delicious and the women serving very friendly as well. Dinner was delicious. Wi-Fi is great. Rooms were clean, comfortable and with good AC. Very good common area with hammocks, chairs and a good pool.

Fridge in common kitchen need to be cleaned more regularly. Too many people left unwanted food. Cushions on all sun loungers? The bar only open at 3 pm so no fresh juice available till then ( you can still buy water, beer and coke from reception)

I went back a couple of times to that hostel. It is very clean.its in a quiet street. Dorms are spacious with large lockers on wheels under the beds. . Staff are friendly and give good tips. Both receptionists speak fluent English. We used their laundry facilities,(10000 per kilo) we left our bags for few days during trips ( free ans safe) . There is a large kitchen. Free breakfast. Nice pool. Location is very practical to get bus to Tayrona park ( 5 minutes walk to market ) , it's 10 minutes walk to the centre, big supermarkets, ATM, cathedral and the strips. But there are shops and restaurants 2 minutes away.

Water filter needs attention- it barely runs at a dribble, which doesn’t work for the amount of people. Barman and chef are lazy- just sit watching whatever films they want to watch on the communal sound system. They sit facing away from customers - not a good bar vibe. Worse is their mate who just sits with them chain smoking- the hostel rooms have open bathroom windows so the smoke comes right in. This should be addressed by management.

Front desk staff were absolutely excellent. Pool is good and upstairs rooms have hot showers. Free breakfast is good, and free coffee during the day.

Wish the rooms had more places to put things (esp. towel hangers) and trash cans.

Friendly staff, Sol helped me with lots of things like when my Grappi order never got delivered. Chill atmosphere. Nice area to relax with pool and bar. About a 10-15 minute walk from historic district and bars.

Big lockers, but not all backpacks fit.

Sol in reception is a beautiful person. Great engery, helpful and genuinely interested in your adventures. Stayed another night. Location is very central. Close to the market and bus to Palomino. The breakfast was tasty. Filtered water available.The pool, great to refresh in. Free coffee at night. Which one of the staff kindly brought me a cup my second night without asking. i had commented the first night I'm a coffee addict. Attention to little details. The rooms comfortable. Good value for your money. Great for solo traveller.

It would be nice if the private bathroom had a hot shower, plus the towels did not smell clean

The room is really clean and air conditioned. The free breakfast is nice and it’s rare to find somewhere with a nice pool for this sort of price. We’ve booked here again after our trip to minca :)

We stayed in Cacao Hostel just for two nights, but we would definitelly do it again. Very nice area with a pool, good wifi and place for working. Staff was very nice and helpfull. In a walking distance from a bus stop from the airport or to the city center. Even dorms was very spacy and private. We made a new friends here. Do not hesitate to stay in Cacao Hostel during your visit in Santa Marta.

The room had a window which you could open from the outside. There was a hallway which had a locked door so not everyone could break in. But this didn't feel completely safe for our stuff

Staff was very nice, the lady behind the desk spoke english well. It was clean and the outdoor space was great. Airconditioning was good.

You need a very small padlock to use the locker in the dorm. Mine was too big I couldn’t use it.

The location, close to the market perfect to get any city bus, free breakfast, swimming pool, very nice outside area, big common area, dorm was big, bed was comfortable and private. Clean

It would be nice to have yellow lights rather than white/fluorescent. Also, there are curtains on the sides the dorm beds but not on the front/back, so they’re not all that private.

Loved the quiet and spaciousness of this hostel. The garden/pool area was green and a peaceful way to escape the heat and bustle of the city.

has everything you need and is close to where the public bus to/from the airport/tayrona. pool is lovely and how the place is laid out is so pretty! lots of vines and plants and great lights in the evening. food was okay, definitely worth the price and they have happy hour! very chill place which is nice and staff are very friendly. the rooms have curtains which is great!! not every hostel has this. the showers are clean and the place is very clean. love it!

it was a really big surprise! super clean, calm, good food for good prices, great breakfast included (free coffee whole day), and really nice staff! we stayed in the dorm with 8 beds and had enough space for our staff and the bathroom has been cleaned every day! definitely recommend it!

It is a calm and beautiful hostel. Everything is superclean and the food is amazing (gracias a fernanda <3 ). Ac and wifi works great. But the best about the place is the people who run it. Muchas muchas gracias a mis amigas Gisella, Luisa, Fernanda, Yeli y a la hermosa Rosa. It was not easy to leave you

Everything was good.
