Clean and comfortable. With all the equipment we needed. The staff was super Kind, Mr Gregorio was always willing to help and very welcoming, also Leidys from the staff. The location is very good! The Tesoro mall is very close and beautiful.

The only small thing i would say is that it doesnt have a 24 hour reception and the doors downstairs werent locked (at least during our stay)

Great value for money and a nice room with private bathroom and hot water! We had a nice stay there, its about a 15 or 20 min walk from el poblado (or 5 or so mins in an uber). Its not really walking distance to the mentro but you can take a bus/taxi although we didnt so cant get any advice on that. Room was clean, we met the owner on the 2nd day who was very nice and friendly and helpful.

The kind and welcoming owner, room has the perfect size, one desk to work or just leave your laptop. Nice terrace, and the view! 👌 The area is quiet and surrounded by nature. 10 min Uber ride to Provenza, 7 min walk to “El Tesoro “ a beautiful mall. Totally worth it!

I booked what was advertised as a room with a balcony. Turns out that the 'balcony' is a square meter at the bottom of a tall inner shaft inside the building, without direct access to natural light or open air. Location is not that great, about an hour walk to El Poblado through very hilly suburbia. The nextdoor neighbour had a very menacing dog (a Rotweiler), walking freely by the entrance to the hostel, that was quite aggressive whenever I'd come in or out. That made the experience of getting in and out fairly scary. Staff, except for Gregorio the owner, were not all that friendly and I never saw any of them smile or have even a minimal conversation with me. While I was there, the other travellers I met were also self occupied and you would be lucky if you'd get a hello or eye contact from someone. Gregorio, the owner, was the exception. He was nice and congenial. The space/patio at the top is okay, quite small really and a bit naff. The jaccuzi's water was lukewarm. Would be nice if it was hotter, but that could be just me. When I had the suplementary breakfast, again it felt like the staff member made it because she had to and was only interested in getting it over and done with as quickly as possible. She had noisy music playing out of her phone and held loud conversations with other staff members who were in the laundry room behind me. I found it disrespectful that they were talking over my head this way, and it was too a noisy environment to get work done on my laptop, so I chose to do it in the room, which is quite claustrophobic.

Large gap between the window frame and the wall which was bizarre, lot of air coming in from outside which we couldn’t do anything about. Also several bugs and mosquitoes got in as a result too. The fake deer head on the wall above the bed had an antler broken and was dangling, that’s a safety issue if it ever fell and took someone’s eye out while they’re sleeping.

The bed had bedbugs and no bedsheets. It was very itchy and uncomfortable. I left covered in bites all over my arms and legs. The staff only work 3 hours a day.

The reception was only manned from 7 to 11 in the morning, the WiFi was spotty, the shower had one setting, scalding hot, the kitchen was poorly equipped, the location was in El Poblado, but a twenty minute walk from the part you're thinking of (it's in a residential area, with nothing around it, you'll need a taxi to come and go after dark)

We had a lovely room, which mostly outweighed the rest

- I had a single room with balcony which had immense problems with humidity and even mold. Furthermore the room was very dark since the balcony was inside of the house and therefore there wasn't a direct light source. - when I contacted the owner he told me that there was only one other room free in the house, which he offered immediately to me. The other room had the same problem: it smelled extremely humid and had no window at all. - even though the owner was very friendly and immediately offered to refund my money, I wouldn't recommend to stay in this hostal, since mold is very dangerous for the health

- very fast and good service via whatsapp - refund of money was no problem and owner was very friendly all the time - first time I stayed in the hostal with my boyfriend in an upstairs room and the room was fine

My room was very small and could have used a bit of touchup. Wifi was not good in my room, sometimes I had to go to the kitchen or rooftop for it to work well. The area was not connected via public transportation to El Poblado square and metro, it was a long walk. I used taxis almost every day, they were very cheap. The walk is up a long hill. Even though it is in Poblado, it is at the far corner of the neighborhood I believe as it is so far from everything (except El Castillo).

The kitchen was very big and available to use at any time, with 2 refrigerators and a stove, double sink, etc. The rooftop was very nice, hardly anyone was up there. I preferred being there over my room. There was someone at the desk to help during the day. The area felt very safe and was close to several food stores and a few restaurants. I appreciated the hot shower in my private bathroom.
