How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No hand soap in the bathrooms.
Great location and value for the money. Nice staff. Most transportation buses past right in front of the hotel if you want to the use them. Restaurants and supermarket nearby. Beaches are walking distance. A good spot. Shower to use after checkout if you leave your bags behind and want to use it upon your return. Breakfast was nice and ok for the price.

Everything was perfect 🤩 They have good parties at the bar which closes at 1 am, if you are thinking of getting a good night's sleep you should bring your earplugs. Raquel and Maura at the front desk are lovely, thanks for everything ♥️

there wasn’t anything I didn’t like. everything was perfect, I’m really glad I chose to stay here
super comfortable, friendly staff and guests. the activities were super fun. Danielle and Julio were amazing activity hosts. they got everyone involved and encouraged me to do activities that I probably would’ve just sat and watched. the dance lessons were really fun! I’m not much of a dancer but really enjoyed them. staff at the front desk were really cool and helped with everything.

Our stay at Viajero hotel was very good. The hosts were welcoming and spoke English very well. Anything we didn't like, they took care of it immediately. The hotel has a cool bar and a good breakfast. Unfortunately, after one night there we had to leave because of a hurricane. Although we already paid for three nights, they understood we were too afraid to stay, and they gave us a refund for the other two nights. I highly recommend staying at this place.

The hostel is good but compared to other viajeros I think it could be a bit more tidy and clean.
I think it's good value/money and it's located in a good place. The staff its incredibly nice and helpful and the breakfast is good as well! Nice to meet people and do stuff with more travellers every day

I always choose El Viajero as my first option when I travel to San Andres. I recommend to the managers start to renew all the areas of the building and make the hostel similar to the others around Colombia.

They started remodelling so it could be quite noisy during the day. Hopefully it won´t take long to finish it.
The staff was super nice, they were always happy to help. The location is excellent if you don´t mind walking five minutes to get to the beach or the city center. Also, is very close to the airport so you can easily walk from the airport to the hostel.

I really liked the very friendly stuff especially Moises was all the time a nice company with a big smile in his face and a generous heart. Once he cooked for us. We really enjoyed. It was so delicious! Big thanks for that and don’t forget to ask for Moises when you arrive;) Great bar service!!;)

The bar should be take more seriously, dor 3 nights was closed.
Viajero has a good location on the island, the individual room was big with private bathroom. The room was comfortable. The staff has good people, mainly Marley, good and polite guy that helps a lot all the tourists.
