Its a great small simple spot for anyone willing to stay at a hostel without all the luxuries. I opted for a single room with a private bathroom and it was well worth it.

It didn’t have a friendly vibe. As a solo traveller I found it difficult to mix as the common areas were just the beginnings of each floor with a table or some cushions etc so people didn’t have to come together. The kitchen was horrible which is surprising as they clean down every room every day but the kitchen is stained, old, dirty but this was the same in Salento at Viajero. I think as a brand they need to update and look at their best competition.

Location great: 10 min walk to a beautiful beach and in the town. Bedroom and bathroom was cleaned daily Bed was comfortable and had AC One friendly receptionist

The hostel has so many stairs. Its super hot inside and you have to walk all the way down for the breakfast ticket and all the way up to eat. All activities are at 11pm as well which is so late. The breakfast is also the same everyday and not as good as other hostels. Making reservations for activities with the staff there is also really confusing and you never get all information you need.

Very noisy, the cleaning stuff is yelling, singing and playing loud music all day long, enter the room during check out and in the middle of the night without knocking. The smoke from the smoking area enters the room. Smells like sewerage in the shower. In the middle of the stay they decided to move us to a different room and wanted us the check out in 11:00 and check in again at 15:00, I've never encountered such a rude request.

The hostel didn’t do the activities that they had written on the board. This way, it was hard to meet other travelers. Also, one time they did have an activity, but it started at 11PM. The worst thing was the staff! One girl was extremely rude and it was completely uncalled for, especially since she was the one making mistakes in my reservation. Other staff were nicer but they were kind of incapable of doing their job. They gave false information, I think because they don’t know what they are doing.

The only good thing I liked was its location. Its in the city and you can walk to many places. Also I met nice people here in the hostel, but it was not a social hostel as I thought it would be.

There is an employee at the reception who is very rude and uneducated, making the entire experience of the accommodation and services provided to be terrible.

The bedbunks are not comfortable and the bathroom is really dirty. Also the location is pretty far from the beach. The staff is not really friendly when you arrive. Moreover the breakfast is really bad, not even a vegatarian option for the eggs. The sockets are also not really good the charge felt out all the time.

Very bad service. They told us to pay again for the laundry even though we paid. And after we looked in the security camera and saw we paid for it we still asked to pay again for the laundry.

I expected more from El Viajero, since it is quite expensive (not just this one), but I was disappointed with the beds (short and tough) and cleanliness. I also did not get my laundry back in time we agreed, and I needed it a lot that day. Must also mention that I complain very rarely, and this is the first hostel in Colombia after 2 months that I have to.

Viajero is a chain of hostels - I heard great things about the chain. but this hostel was a dissapointment in comparison to the standard of the other hostels.
