Really friendly helpful staff, great hostel for socialising. Close to beach and bus stop. Swimming pool is great coz the sea is so rough. No air con but ye don't need it fan on every bed is perfect. Nice breakfast no complaints here.

Amazing stay! The Zoo Hostel has the perfect vibe, great pool, lively bar and restaurant, daily activities, and just steps from the beach. The volleyball court and social atmosphere make it easy to meet people. Special thanks to Diego, the manager, who is super friendly and makes everyone feel at home. I’d come back anytime!

Pool was okay, not enough sunbeds but not enough space for sunbeds. Could use the space more effectively.

Breakfast was good size, different each day and served quickly. Eggs, arepa, fruit variation. Room - great size, comfy bed, terrace with hammock. Shower was powerful.

The typical host is in their early 20s, I guess this is what is called a party hostel! Very nice if you’re in that age range and into partying. Not everyone is, but that’s the mood. The food at breakfast is meh, to be kind.

It is well thought out, the kitchen is very nice.

Wifi is not great, it comes and goes. The bathroom needs a bit of update. My advise would be to lower the mirrors as I am short and I could not see my self

Good vibes hostel. Although they organize events every night, by 11pm everything finished and the party moves elsewhere. The room was cleaned and comfortable. They have free water. 2 min walk to the main road and 10 min to the beach.

Amazing place. Beautiful facilities, pool, volleyball court with people playing everyday. The filtered water is free. And free mosquito repellent!!! The staff is always very helpful and fun! There is a restaurant with a new menu everyday for lunch, delicious, healthy, very creative, and good price:) I booked for 3 nights, stayed a month.

They could clean the room every third day. The decorative cushions smelled kinda bad. 😅

In terms of price/quality, it’s very good!! I loved the private room with a balcony and hammock; I would definitely come back at that price! The staff is also very friendly and has great energy✨. The breakfast could be a bit more varied and generous, but for the price, it’s fine!

The bathrooms are disgusting (and I have been to lot of horrible places before I’m not super picky on this). They weren’t clean at all, floated with water from the toilet, any kind of liquid on the walls next to it and the beds don’t have much space or railings to avoid falling down.

The hostel is well located and they got nice volunteers. They are really friendly. The breakfast is okay. You get what you pay for. I mean the price is pretty cheap, so that’s nice but also the things you might miss out are a lot.

I really enjoyed my time El Zoo Hostel! I really like breakfast and all food made in the restaurant (menu del dia). Beside this room was really clean and bed was really comfortable which is on of the most important things for me! I really like common area such as swimming pool :) Staff was also really nice and helpful! Highly reccomend El Zoo Hostel!

Right next to our room there is a landfill !! I couldn’t believe this. The worse part is that the hotel seems to have access to it, like it is their property. I really don’t understand what’s that landfill is doing there. But is very smelly

I did like this hostel. The vibe is so so nice, the hostel itself is beautiful, the rooftop is just amazing! You can see the Sierra Nevada from the restaurant rooftop! The place is quiet, the rooms are very comfy. It is just the best.

That we could not stay more days in palomino

The staff is very friendly and know the town very well and what there is to do. As palomino is in low season, the hostel is perfect for relaxing by the pool or coming back from the beach to have a drink and chat with other guests or staff in the evenings. On the days we wanted to go out partying, they recommended the best places and best of all, you can always walk everywhere. They also seem to be trying new options with breakfast and it was delicious every day.

Really chill vibes. Great location and value for money . Personal fan and mosquito net per bed. Free break fast and good Happy Hour at Bar on cocktails. El zoo restaurant next door . Lots of bathroom and showers. Showers could be cleaned more regular as the sand is everywhere . Pool table , laundry service is also really fast ans efficient. Would recommend!

- Too many cats roaming around freely, sleeping in dorm beds. - Pool table is off level and located too close to fence to be able to manoeuvre cue. - Social activities organisation was pretty poor. - Gave us zero information or recommendations about what else is happening around town.
