How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was a very good place to stay in Palomino. It was quiet, had a nice pool to cool off and most of all the family helped with everything we needed. They gave us all the information. The breakfast was really good as well. Couldn't wish for more during our stay in Palomino. Thank you very much!

Jaime was very friendly and helpful during our stay, he drove us to the main road and helped us with information about buses to Barranquilla. He was very attentive to us and our needs. The hostel is located near to the main road, close to many restaurants and bars. It’s around a 10 minute walk to the beach. There’s a pool, breakfast daily, and our room had AC. It was also very quiet at night.

We had a super nice family stay at Hostal Nibuni! We enjoyed the swimming pool and the location close to the beach and the tourist center of the town. Our host, Jaime, was super nice and helpful, he gave us precious advice and tips concerning the town itself and the activities!

There's really not even a little thing we didn't like except the fact that we had to leave at some point.
We had a wonderful stay here, super relaxed. The owner and his staff are just amazing and lovely! They helped us with all the requests we had. The place is very quiet but super central as well, amazingly clean despite all the sand and just great. The breakfast is really delicious and they take care of your preferences! Here you're surrounded by just wonderful great vibes. We liked it so much that we prolonged our stay for several days. We would always come back and will recommend this site, which became our Palomino home, to everyone who's going to visit Palomino.

Everything was great, the place, the facilities, the location, breakfast. Jaime, the owner, helped us to book the tours and changed our room for a more spacious one. I will be back for sure!

Just some minor details - No hammocks or bean bags etc for relaxing beside the pool, and no yoga on offer. Quite a few regulations including no outside food or drinks (more of a hotel then a hostel) however this wasnt really a big deal as we were out most of the time.
Nice and quiet. Good location off the main street and walking distance to the beach/river etc. Good breakfast. Exceptionally clean. Nice pool. Very helpful hosts with suggestions and recommendations for our stay in Palomino.

The place is clean and well equipped with a swimming pool and outdoor showers. The breakfast in particular is delicious and the host Jaime took care of us very well and arranged tubing for us. The location is also very good, with easy access to the main road, the beach and the principal bus road.

The owner was so gracious and honest. He went beyond the call of duty to make our stay comfortable and adventurous. He helped us with our tours and transportation to the bus station.

I wish there was hot water in the shower, but by no means was this a big deal.
It was everything I needed for this trip. Nice outdoor area to sit and have breakfast, a pool, a comfortable room, and a pretty central location.

This hostel is so calm but still very close to the center and restaurants. The breakfast was really good and free. The staff are super helpful. I had a great time staying here!

Cold showers!
Great hostel. One of us was unwell and the staff kindly kept an eye out to make sure we were ok. Great central location near to bars and restaurants, and 5 mins walk down to the beach.

Jaime was really nice and helpful, although his English is not great and we don’t know much Spanish he used a translate app every time to help us communicate the best way. He was very polite and tried to help us any way he could - from good recommendations to keeping our luggage for couple of days. The breakfast is made on the spot and you must try the lemonade, very tasty and refreshing. The pool is clean and there is nice garden where you can see hummingbirds.
