Overall everything was great - only suggestions would be to add a little soap holder on the bathroom for the bar of soap (we felt bad just putting it on the wood but there was no where else to put it) and hooks in the bathroom for the towels.

It’s a beautiful cabana style apartment with incredible views of the reservoir in Guatapé. My family has been coming to eat lunch at the restaurant, Praia, for years but I had never stayed on the property. Came with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful time! The cabañas are a cheaper option than staying at the sister property hotel, the Brown, but you can still use their amenities for a small fee ($25pp for pool usage). The included breakfast was also delicious at the restaurant at The Brown, Prismo, with a great buffet. You can eat at any of the two restaurants for lunch/dinner. I recommend going during the week as it’s less crowded.

Our breakfast was included, however, in the morning of, the driver took us to the wrong restaurant and once there no one told us we were in the wrong restaurant.

While we had access to the pool at The Brown (formerly Luxe Charlee), we didn't realize we would have to pay 100,000 cop for each person to use it. It was lovely, though. Accessibility is a challenge when it comes to getting around the hilly terrain on cramped tuk tuks. Keep that in mind when planning a stay here.

The villa we stayed in was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view over the lake. I love how there's plenty of space between units for privacy. It was very nice to be able to call for a free tuk tuks to get around the property, which made it easy to navigate the hilly terrain and dirt roads when we didn't want to walk. The restaurant had a nice view and served great breakfast (for a fee).

We didn’t like the cabin's lack of cleanliness, particularly the bathroom. We found hair and broken glass on the floor. We also disliked the slow service and the fact that they left the kids wanting to have hot chocolate for breakfast because they ran out, even though we were there early.

We liked the location, the size of the cabins, the food options, and the water activities.

There was no WIFI for two days, and my anxiety was through the roof. I couldn't get any work done to enjoy my vacation. WIFI was not available until the third day. I was able to complete work and enjoy my vacation. When they say Latinos are late, believe it. So, if you have to be at the airport early, add 30 minutes to your pick up time. If you want to be picked up at 9:00, say 8:30.

Before booking my reservation, I read most of the negative and low-rated reviews. Here is an update. Luxè Cabaña will ensure you arrive safely at their location by connecting you with transportation from the area. For those who are new to Colombia, yes, you can find cheaper transportation. However, having a sense of security when dealing with the hotel’s trusted connections is the way to go unless you know of someone. Their driver, Jorge, was more than excellent. His customer service was over and beyond, ensuring I could get what I needed before reaching my destination. Yes, the road in this location in the mountains is bumpy, not the main roads, just the one up to The Cabaña. People, it’s like that with the majority of the cabins in the mountains. I find it part of the great experience before reaching this beautiful and extravagant cabaña in the mountains overlooking the waters. People, this place is fantastic. It is breathtaking. The expansive wall-to-wall windows do not cheat the views from the living and each bedroom, so you don’t miss out on scenic scenery. The cabaña does not have A/C; once you open the sliding glass door and windows, the natural air gives the needed relaxed cooling sensation. At night, cover up because it gets cold. There is a complimentary service where someone will light up the fireplace on the balcony deck. Make sure to have WhatsApp because that is the best way to communicate with the front desk and concierge service. I mainly communicated with Santiago, who ensured my stay was terrific. Santiago got me what I needed whenever I made my request. He reserved my Tuk-Tuk so that I could enjoy the Guatapè Central Commercial area, and visiting La Piedra was a fantastic experience.

there was a chimney but not help to set it up you needed a tuk tuk to go from one place to another but the kids liked it very much it was far away from guatepe no possibility to make tea

Do not book in this platform if you are trying to get access to the hotel amenities which is not specifically explained here or anywhere. Apparently there is Luxe by Charlie and Luxe by Marriott- this is not clear online. The hotel on the top of the mountain is newer and has updated amenities such gym and endless pool. The Cabañas are great but you can’t park your car in front. Roads to access both sides of luxe are partially undone as well as among cabins.

We loved the location and the views. We loved the way customer service handled themselves through my complains related to the hotel versus cabins stays.

I did not like the fact that we were charged “tax” upon arrival and neither booking or luxe by charlee advised us of this before. I also did not like the fact that we had to wait for the little drivers in the golf cart to go from place to place… I stayed 1 night and after breakfast, I asked to be taken to the room to change …. The driver took 20 minutes to pick me up from the restaurant and it was over an hour to take me back waiting. I ended up walking which it was ª pretty long walk from the room back to the restaurant and a block before getting there another driver took me the rest of the way. Which was not cool because check out was by 1. I also believe charging additional to use a pool, per person.. at a hotel is pretty ridiculous… and if that is the case, it should be crystal clear and not hidden! The place is worth the money! No need for hidden, additional, or unexpected fees.

The food was excellent, the rooms were spacious and beautiful.. our view of la piedra was spectacular…. It was quiet and peaceful! My kids really enjoyed it!

The road to the hotel and even the internal roads in stones were really annoyng. Whoever made the decision to pave the road in stones, was stupid. Internal roads and parking needs to be improved

One thing that I did not like, was the lack of activities for the kids. It´s missing a park where the kids can play, also a pool or something like that, because the activities with the boats, skying, pontoon, etc., it´s very expensive.
