The only slight downside was that my room faced the street, and because the windows were only single-paned (and there is actual a part at the top that is permanently open), there is no escaping from the sound of passing traffic on this residential street (especially motorcycles) until it dies down after 10pm or so.

The hostess, Alba, was very friendly and welcoming and always helpful. This was a comfortable place to stay in a safe neighborhood, within easy walking distance of many doors and restaurants and with good bus connections to get elsewhere in the city. Hot showers! - a first in more than 3 weeks of travel in Columbia! Great to have access to a kitchen.

A lovely, relaxed hostel, very kind people, spotless bathrooms, great value for money. There's a supermarket right across the street and many breakfast places nearby. The neighborhood is leafy and quiet, and well connected to the rest of the city.

The hostel isn't soundproof but this should be expected - it's a house in a neighbourhood, not a big, chain hotel. With that, there is noise from the streets with people going about their days. Nonetheless, I slept well and stayed for one week.

Pa Pasiar Hostal is very comfortable, clean and great value for money. Alba is welcoming and attentive. The area has a really nice neighbourhood vibe with lots of local amenities; it's also easy to get around the city. As someone who is long-term backpacking, a private room, clean bathroom, in a nice neighbourhood has been a luxury :).

Nothing on the property itself but use earplugs if your room is from the street side. People tend to talk until late, but no loud music or party.

First of all Alba is a very nice host, attentive, warm and helpful. The area is quiet and walkable at night. The room was spacious, clean and bed comfy. Wifi working perfectly :) there is a kitchen you may use, shop across the street.

Alba, the owner was so incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is in a nice residential area, with a small supermarket opposite and a huge shopping centre 5 minutes walk away. I walk to the Metro 20 minutes away but Uber is so cheap in Colombia everywhere is in easy reach of the property. The rooms are clean, basic and the bed and pillows were perfect. I think the value for money is EXCEPTIONAL and for all the above factors can highly recommend Pa Pasiar Hostel. Oh I forgot the WiFi was great..

Perfect value-for-money. I stayed in a privat room, with a comfortable bed. Hosts are very nice and breakfast tasted great. Area is very safe and good to discover Laureles. Can recommend to stay there. While I was there, It didn't have the classical Hostel vibe. It was very quiet. Depends what you Look for.

That I couldnt stay longer. Some of the homelessness in some of the areas is obvious but I still felt safe.

Lina is amazing and help me get everything I wanted done with ease. She is fluent in english and was instrumental in assisting with spanish translation. Bravo!

Absolutely loved my stay here with Lina that I reserved a room two more times after. Rooms are incredibly affordable, clean and in a great location. 2 minute walk from the mall and very close to the nightlife on La 70 in Laureles. A pretty central location to get to all the other attractions in Medellín too. WAY better than staying in Poblado if you ask me! Lina is SO kind and accommodating, and felt like a motherly figure. I can't wait to return!

All was perfect

Undoubtedly one of the best hostels that I stayed. Its staff is amazing, Lina is a lovely person ,her friends and family help to you to feel incredible.I received a lot of attention and love from them. I felt free to do everything. It’s good located in the middle of the safe and quiet area of Medellin. It has very nice facilities and good balcony to drink tea along a lot of plants. Definitely I have to come back to this beautiful place.

There can be a bit of street noise, so I'd recommend earplugs for lighter sleepers. But aside from that, no complaints. Also this varies, I stayed in the dorm originally and wasn't bothered by noise.

The price was quite good. You don't need to worry about paying "Gringo" prices here. In addition, it's quite close to a mall, multiple grocery stores, and good restaurants, vegan, columbian, and more. Felt safe enough. Park nearby. Many things to be seen. In addition, Lina, the owner is a very nice person. She was the reason I decided to stay longer than first planned. Hung out with her, learned more spanish, and met some of the other guests. She helped out when I was sick as well and got me medicine at local prices instead of the higher ones I would have found. Wifi worked well.
