Too many rules and controlling Lack of "full privacy" in the room that's next to the reception. When the staff/manager decides to open the door of the dorm just do so... in front of a public area open for anyone to walk in. Yes, we have curtains in each bed but was very uncomfortable to keep having the struggle If planning to cook bring your own lighter, it was a struggle to get one whenever needed I went on good season..but 1 washroom to service about 30 beds... they were doing some remodeling..not sure if all of this changed

The road noise in the 8 bed dorm is very loud. The common area is taken over on the weekends by an indoor market which block the doors to the dorms and make you feel like you are an inconvenience.

Internet is a complete disaster, there are only two WC (one for men, one for women), and the place works as a coffee shop, so there are always non guests in the hostel.

I could not use the upper bunk beds, very difficult to climb up there. I was afraid to fall. A regular ladder would be better than the round tubes - I kept slippering on them. Thank you for providing me a bed that I could climb in directly :-)

The courtains of the room were not very good (see-through) and the light out in the hall was automatic, so everytime someone walked past, it was very bright in our room. That wasnt very nice to sleep, so we put towles on the window. Also, if you are chilling on the terrace or living room area past 10.30 pm, the owner will tell you to keep it down, which is a bit annoying since a hostel is supposed to be about meeting new people and enjoying your time. Otherwise its a nice place to stay at.

We stayed in a privat room. The bed was comfy and they gave us towles for showering. The hostel is very close to everything you need: museums, bars, restaurants etc.

They definitely need to add a small lamp or LED light to each bed space. There's an automatic bright light on at night every time some enters OR leaves the room, which is extremely disturbing, especially if you're trying to fall asleep (this goes on until 11 p.m. or so). There are very few bathrooms for the lot o people who have shared dorms, it seems. The stairs to the terrace are pretty steep. It'd be nice to get some kind of support for older guests to be able to climb there.

Located in La Candelaria, at a relatively safe though noisy spot. Nicolás offered great service, and made sure everyone was comfortable. My favorite thing was the comfort of the beds (in my room for 10 people). There is a big social area, though chairs are not that comfortable for one to say there long.

My dorm was right next to the street, so it was extremely noisy outside until 11:30 p.m., and since 5:30 a.m. I thought rooms would be deeper into the building. I didn't ask for a quieter one in advance :( Apart from that, my dorm was right next to the reception/social area, and staff and guests can talk very loud, though it gets quieter after 11 p.m. I understand these are dorms for 10 people, but the lockers under each bunk bed are very small, so if you have a large backpack, you'll have to pile it somewhere, or put in on your own bed. I appreciate there are lockers at all, though.

The location is very convenient if you want to visit historical sites in the city. The bed in my dorm were super comfortable, though I got very cold at night. There's a kitchen area, with a large table for people to share if they like. Lots of safety at the main door. Staff makes sure everything runs smoothly. Rules and important safety information are posted all over the hostel in English and Spanish.

I had booked what is called on booking "An individual room economic - 2 beds". I had the option to pay for 2 persons (60,000) or for one person (35,600), I choose the second option. My understanding was that it would be a simple room with 2 beds and obviously, not a dorm (which also cost less there than what I paid for the room, obviously). When I arrived, I was given an empty 4 beds dorm and although I explained and showed my booking, there was a lot of confusing explanations given such as, in fact the 2 beds advertised are a bunk bed,... ?..? After some discussion, it was agreed that I could have the dorm for myself which was not a problem for me. They had individual room but I was not offered this, as it seems that it was already booked,... Knowing that I had paid extra for the individual room, there was no offer to compensate for the extra amount I had paid,... A positive point was that I was able to extend my stay as I had a late fight but it was heavily compensate financially, ... I was initially asked the price of the night and I thought that having made an error, they could have done a gesture. So all in all, I was happy to have the room for myself and I slept well but I thought there was a lack of honesty in the explanation given and a lack of transparency (if you had double booked the room, just say it and we arrange something else),... I had the impression that they knew what was happening but were trying to get as much money out of me as possible,... and all with a smile so for that part, not so convinced. All in all, it served the purpose of what I needed the room for. Sleep and rest.

The central location, the friendliness and willingness of the volunteer/staff to resolve issue, the spacious kicthen, the clean showers with hot water and the general cleanliness of the place, the comfy bed, good initial communication with the hotel,... And, for that particular time, the quietness of the place and the flexibility (heavily charged) of the check-in and out. So overall, it was a good stay but there was some issue (resolved) with the room that I had booked (See below).
