Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandIt's ok for one night but not really for a longer stay. Wifi is not very good. The rooms are very small and the bed is not very comfortable. Not the best value for money. There are plenty of other options with similar prices with better location and facilities. Breakfast is included but they don't have any variety just serving without asking. So in case you are allergic or gluten intolerant there might not be much choice to eat.
Location is quite close to main beach aththoughit's a 10 min walk on a busy road with no pavement. The view from the hostel is beautiful

AustraliaThe bathroom is tiny and not really nice to use. There was always a shortage of toilet paper and soap The room was only shared with another 2 people which made it ok but if it was full house it would have been extremely crammed
The breakfast that the mum makes is always delicious and satisfying Nice view from the hostel Staff are super nice

United KingdomVery 'loud' place - walls have no isolation, can hear every word of every single person staying at the hostel. Bathroom door bangs in order to close them, squeaky floor, staircase.
Beautiful view, nicely designed. Friendly volunteers

United KingdomBugs. Bugs everywhere. Literally everywhere. There aren't any windows in this hostel and the lights are always in so expect to be eaten alive by mosquitos. WiFi was really bad.
Super social vibes, a great place to chill after a busy day's diving. Only a 5 minute walk downhill to the main part of taganga.

United KingdomWe had a terrible experience at this property. Despite booking a room with a private bathroom well in advance, we arrived to find that it simply did not exist. With the entire town fully booked, our only option was to pay nearly double for a room with a shared bathroom in the same hostel. To make matters worse, there was no water available for the toilet during the night. Overall, our stay was extremely disappointing.

BrazilOn arrival they charged us more than was stated on booking.com then I realise that was the “additional fees may apply” situation, I believe that should be clearer in the platform. Just accepted cash, which luckily we had but also in the platform wasn’t clear that it was the only way of payment. The facilities were SUPER dirty, the toilets and kitchen were absolutely disgusting. The toilets didn’t have toilet paper most of the time, so I had to find some myself around the kitchen area. No towels included, or even offered for rental, luckily we had our own towel. On the first night our fan broke, the room was boiling and we didn’t have any mosquito nets, so we were pretty much eaten alive in order to have some sort of fresh air. My partner slept in the hammock outside because the room was too hot. There was a random worker (security? Receptionist? Or guest?) playing super unnecessary loud music until late. They also called me after my stay charging me for 4 beers that I didn’t consume, I didn’t even know they sold beers there because there wasn’t ant sort of bar or anything?? Obviously I refused to pay. No staff at front desk overnight as well.
The staff were very helpful. They helped us fixing the broken fan. Breakfast was ok.

CanadaThe rooms themselves are tightly packed in an upstairs area. Not a lot of room to move or put your things. Shared bathroom wasn't the best but passable. The walk to the hostel can be sketchy with taxis and motos passing you.
Quiet place compared to a lot of spots in the area. Very nice family working hard. Great view of the bay.

ColombiaThe location was a bit difficult to reach with a lot of stairs! I did really prefer to stay out instead of climbing those stairs multiple times. Plus is an area under construction it was a bit difficult due to the path being very inclined. In regards to the cleaning it needed more cleaning it was evident in the bathroom. At night there was no light in the rooms only in the bathroom and in the kitchen, i was too tired to call again for someone that annoyed me. As well there were no towels nor soaps or shampoos i have stayed in cheap hostels were they provide them.
I loved the view! It was just perfect and amazing! The apartment had just what you needed and you have two balconies which i really enjoyed. The staff was reaaaaaaaally nice and i appreciated them a lot for all they did and their kindness. It had air-conditioning which i was thankful for!!

IsraelThe hostel has a wonderful sunset view with causey hammocks. The staff is friendly and there is a kitchen for your use and a delicious free breakfast. There are a few room options according to your standards, all relatively cheap. Bear in mind that there is some climbing you need to do, both from the beach to the hostel (but that's true to most hostels in Taganga) and inside the hostel to your room. In my experience it wasn't a deal breaker and even nice to sleep with a view

RussiaThe floor was completely covered with cockroaches! Even the walls and the bedsheets were full of insects and larvas. The reception didn’t seem to care much and didn’t offer any alternative (not even another room in the hostel, which wasn’t full). They proposed to sweep up the room… I don’t even understand how you would accept to propose a property in this state without even thinking of sweeping up or cleaning up the room before guests arrive… We ended up not spending the night there due to this, but did not get refunded. We had to find another place to sleep at 9pm. Overall, the facilities are simply really really dirty. The photos do not reflect the reality and the duplex apartments are built on an unfinished building, with a view over all the garbage and the construction remains. Our apartment did not even have a view although this is what was indicated. Finally, the apartments are not well located. They are not 5 minutes away from the beach, you will need to climb up a very steep and long staircase to get there (not great with suitcases or backpack as getting there is really tiring).
The reception helped us carry the luggage to the room.
