How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The hostel is in a very old house, with all its specialities. The walls are thin, it can be quite loud. The common areas are quite crowded. But if you only want a place to sleep, and during the day you want to explore the surroundings, it's fine. You just shouldn't forget your earplugs 😉
It was very central, the staff was nice. You could leave your stuff, and use the facilities after checking out. Nice hot showers.

As previous reviewers stated, the shower is extremely small and it is almost impossible to change discreetly. There is nowhere to hang your towel or toiletry bag, and the position of the shower makes it so that anyone who is walking in the hallway sees you if you are trying to change outside. I recommend hooks and a curtain to separate the area
The location is great and on the main street, because of this it gets quiet noisy on the weekends and early mornings.

My stay in the hostel was a great experience. It is situated by the main touristic street of Salento and near the Plaza. The hostel is small but cosy and offers plenty of activities in connection with the Bindi Hostel. All of the staff was very nice and welcoming, I personally had very nice conversations with Manuel and David, who always could help with recommendations and other things.

It was really loud until 3am on the Saturday but I guess you can’t complain when you know location is so central.
Great location and incredible staff. They pair up with Bindi hostel and do activities together which has been my highlight as they had so much to offer! Shout out to Manu - our daily guide who is awesome and I really loved the free photos with every tour ❤️

Sound proofing could be better but not sure how they could improve this as it seems to just be the infrastructure in general. An extra light in the bedroom would be nice.
Great location in the middle of town. Good sized double rooms for two people. Very helpful employee. Nice double windows opening onto the a side street.

There is nothing at all to hang your clothes in the room even though there’s plenty of space in the double room

If I really have to think about something, not a lot of space in the rooms

Now I know what a laid-through mattress is, some could be exchanged I guess. Walls are very thin and doors don't close properly, so it can be noisy in the mornings or the night when there is party on the streets.
Location in center, short walk to everywhere in Salento. Plugs and curtains on bed. Helpful staff. Nice Balkony.

The noise from the street was quite loud at night but not an issue if you had ear plugs
Absolutely great location and exceptionally clean ! The lady’s never stopped cleaning all day, the place smelt constantly clean which was lovely.

It gets very noisy at night, so definitely bring earplugs. The beds are kinda uncomfortable since they’re kinda saggy.
It’s a cute little hostel in an awesome location. The showers were clean and had hot water. The kitchen is well equipped.

Not a lot of space, sometimes smells like strong cleaning chemicals, the shared bathroom area is pretty wet - e.g. the shower floor mats could maybe changed and hanged to dry once a day,

During my stay there was no water for almost all the first day.
Perfect position and amazing staff. They have a kitchen and a living room. Everything looks clean.

in the middle of the party street. I slept great though. But my travel friends said it woke them up several times.
