Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ColombiaStaff Experience & Customer Service Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with the front desk staff, particularly with their French receptionist, Kate. She often appeared distracted and overwhelmed, often handling multiple conversations simultaneously with guests, kitchen staff, and management, which made the check-in/out process feel disorganized and inefficient. Additionally, there was a misunderstanding regarding the cookie jar at the front desk, where guests could either pay for a cookie or receive one for free by posting an Instagram story. My friend and I chose to pay for two cookies and assumed we could take one directly from the jar. However, when we did, Kate reacted in an unnecessarily harsh manner, speaking to us in an unfriendly tone instead of politely explaining the process. Her approach was unprofessional and could have been handled with more courtesy. Dimitri, one of the owners, was present during the interaction but did not intervene. Later, during the Saturday party, Claire from the hotel mentioned feeling bad about the situation. While we appreciated her gesture, a formal acknowledgment or communication regarding the receptionist’s behavior would have been more appropriate. I strongly recommend improving staff training to ensure professional and respectful guest interactions. That being said, the kitchen staff was absolutely wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Smoking Policy I strongly suggest establishing designated smoking areas. It was noticeable that the owners were smokers, and it seemed as though they assumed everyone was comfortable with it. However, it was difficult to enjoy meals or dance in such a beautiful, green environment while surrounded by cigarette smoke. If the hotel aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests, a clearer policy regarding smoking areas would be beneficial 3. The gym and yoga area feel neglected, with outdated equipment and worn-out yoga mats
This hotel is nestled in a remote and stunning location, surrounded by lush coffee and plantain trees—a perfect retreat to disconnect from the noise of big cities. I chose a private cabin for my stay, which featured a beautiful balcony with breathtaking views, a private bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. The coffee tour with Fabián was truly exceptional. His deep knowledge of the farm, coffee crops, and cacao made the experience incredibly enriching. He is warm and attentive, taking the time to explain everything with clarity and care, ensuring that everyone understands and enjoys the tour.

United KingdomI honestly loved everything and would return in a heartbeat. If you're on a tight budget be aware that there's a small daily charge for all the water and fantastic coffee you can drink. If I was to return I'd probably bring some snacks with me and make use of the kitchen.
It's a beautiful place with great food and is perfect to rest, relax and enjoy the surroundings. Everything is clean and the facilities are well thought out. Big thanks to Angela for her help and advice with our onward journey. I found this place because of lots of recommendations and it's somewhere I'll be recommending to other travellers.

We had a blast in Tukawa! Really friendly staff and beautiful location. Even if it's a bit off the road, it's worthwhile if you plan to stay near Filandia. Nice home-made food! The coffee tour with Javier Cano is fully recommended.

DenmarkSuch an amazing hostel in the middle of the beautiful Colombian nature. The other guests and the workers were so nice and made me feel home. Every night they have fun activities to gather the guests, and every day there’s different activities such as horseback riding and coffee farms at very reasonable prices. Would come back!

United KingdomThe only thing it's missing is a kitchen to cook! So you have to buy lunch & dinner there (it's so remote there is no where else) so would be a good option for those on more of a budget.
Amazing views, pool and gardens! Lovely social atmosphere. Great bathrooms too.

Switzerland- No kitchen for free use available. - There was always breakfast, lunch and dinner available. The portions were sometimes not so big so you would get hungry again quite fast. - I felt that not every person working there was sure about the tours the hostel offers and the prices of them and in general. In the end we would always have to pay a bit more for the tranport althought we were told someting different, that was a bit annoying. - In the beginning our little 'tour' around the hostel to get to know the facilities was not very clear and could have been handled more structured. - The road to get to the hostel from Filandia is very bumpy and dusty, it takes around 40 minutes each time. That is something you have to be aware of but like this you can enjoy mother nature outside of town somewhere in the nowhere - just beautiful!
- The staff was friendly and always down to help. They even prepared as a nice sandwich to take away for the next day hiking corcora valley. - Laundry service available. - You can join Yoga in the morning or you can use mats and some weights on your own if you want. - The pool and the common area to chill are just amazing - hammocks, couches, board games, tables, book exchange, free stuff for use such as mosquito spray, ping pong table and just a lot of nature to enjoy! - The vibe in general was great! The party on saturday was so much fun and the buffet for dinner super yummi!! (if you want to have a calm night, don't go to the hostel on saturday 😄). - The room was average but had some good features as plugs and a little shelf near the bed, curtains and lockers.

NetherlandsAlthough staff was friendly, we felt that sometime we lacked all the information on the following days activities as we don’t speak French (owners, volunteers and the majority of other guests were French) which was a bit of shame.
We had a great time at Tukawa, it’s truly a special place! It was amazing to relax in the many common spaces & enjoy the pool. Very social place & would completely recommend!

NetherlandsThe hotel has a vast majority of French people, so expect a lot of French dialogue during your stay
Tukawa is located on a beautiful spot within nature, with a variation of birds and insects living around the property. The accommodation was very eco and has a breath taking view. The hotel has great chef's providing excellent meals throughout the day and many comfortable places to rest (many hammocks!). The Satursday night festivities were a lot of fun, with a special thanks to the hotel owners.

United StatesWe liked everything, just be aware it’s a 30 min drive from Filandia through a beautiful open road, you’ll need to grab a jeep in town or bring your own truck. The road wasn’t too bad and we enjoyed the journey to it
Great place with amazing views of coffee farms, mountains, and the nature. There’s a beautiful river that runs by the property which we got a chance to see and experience. The staff was super welcoming and made us feel as home as soon as we got off the car, the food was fresh and tasty and there was always fresh coffee and water available to all guests.
