Room was not fully complete with what we booked for, complained three times on day of arrival and no fix on day of arrival, also safe did not work, physically had to go to reception after calling them to complain and it took an hour out of our first afternoon for someone to come and reset it ! Also, could not call a la cart restaurant of our choice to make a reservation between 3 and 6 pm, had to go to reception to do so !! With a check in time of 3, can you imagine what the line is like just for folks checking in when you just want to make a dinner reservation??

Drinks were not that good and the wine was awful, when we ask for special drink or whiskey 10.00 more per drink I thought this was all inclusive, Then for coffee in the morning there were never any coffee cups to be found, you always had to find someone to get a glass or coffee cup....

The place is in a good location and the food is good quality. The staff are nice.

The superior room was horrible! It had a foul sewage smell and there was water leaking from the vent in the ceiling which leaked on the floor. I had elderly parents staying in the room as well and the water leak created a potential hazard especially if they slipped on it. We even asked front desk to check the room and all they did was put toilet bowl cleaner in the toilet to reduce the sewage smell but that obviously didn't work. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this resort.

Wish they had the bar by the beach open later and some evening music by the beach would have been nice.

Resort is very well laid out, from most rooms you don’t have to walk too far to get to the lobby, restaurant, pool or beach. We had an ADA room because my partner has mobility issues and it was perfect - nice room with safety bars and close to facilities. The staff are very accommodating, food at the buffet is great but go early before favorite items run out. It’s not a fancy resort but clean, nice pool, good food. The beach has some good surf - part of it is rocky but there is enough area to get into the water away from the rocks. The resort is only one mile from Tamarindo if you want bigger beaches but Tamarindo is a busy congested tourist town. Jusy the travel planner was extremely helpful to find us an excursion that met our needs and also transportation to the airport, She booked us on the Palo Verde boat tour which is a great way to see some wildlife and the villages along the way. Francisco was our guide and driver - he provided us with so much cultural information on top of his kindness! Also if you want a great head to toe massage - just walk down the beach to the right of the hotel( opposite way from the river) , there is a woman named Julie who gives a great head to toe massage for a reasonable price - total luxury while listening to the ocean waves!

    EVERYTHING

Nothing was good at this hotel, people were not friendly and were harassed by the male water aerobics instructor by the pool every day, the food was absolutely terrible and the hotel was not clean, extremely hard to get fresh towels everyday and had to ask for more toilet paper because they don’t restock the rooms daily, this is 100% a falsely advertised hotel we did not get what we expected. We expected a four-star hotel experience as advertised but feel like we received a two star at best. We will never return to this hotel

This really isn't an all-inclusive resort. I would say it's more of a larger hotel with some additional amenities. The food wasn't great, and we ended up going to town for most meals besides a simple buffet breakfast. There are 2 restaurants that aren't buffet that are included in the cost every 3 nights you stay. I specifically asked if I could book our dinner the night of and the front desk stated yes. However, when I went to make reservations, the restaurant was booked both nights that I tried. The hotel is outdated but structurally upkept. The room was decent but wasn't very clean. We found long black hairs on the bathroom floor, in the shower, and on the deck. Lastly, the resort felt understaffed. The front end never had more than one person present, so there was always a wait. The snack bar/pool bar had one bartender, so there was always a wait. When you did get served, you really couldn't engage with the staff for too long because they were obviously flustered. Understandably, it's a job, but I do enjoy getting to know some of the staff by asking simple questions and holding a quick convo. If you are more accustomed to larger resorts with multiple bars, restaurants, etc, this is definitely not the place for you.

The staff was very friendly and the location was great. You are right outside of the downtown heart of Tamarindo. If you decide to Uber, each trip is around $6 USD. I really liked the beach area. It felt secluded and had lava formations, which gave some variety. The beach area was very clean, with little to no vendors.

Worst value for our hard earned money. The marketing pics of the beach area are misleading for a beachfront family resort. The beach was covered in rocks with extremely limited swimming areas for a 5 year old unless you walked down aways and found a spot when the tide was out.The limited selection of food was the same every day and bland. The Coffee came out of a machine which was very inconsistent when they were in operation. A child pooped in the pool and nothing was done about it not to mention the scum in the grout surrounding the inside if the pool could be scrapped off by your finger nail. If you weren’t up by 6 am to get a lounge chair you wouldn’t get one until mid day. Numerous lounge chairs that had towels on them were never used and a lot of the loungers were very dirty and torn needing repaired or replaced. Our room had the same long black hairs in the bathroom and under the desk our entire stay noting I am blonde, hubby bald and daughter ginger. I even pulled the chair out from the desk to see if they would clean under the desk which they did not. Our fridge was not restocked daily. Didn’t have towels the first night we were there in our room even after requesting them. When we arrived Approx 2:30pm we checked in and headed to pick up beach towels as our room wasn’t ready until 3pm and to our surprise we were told they ran out for the day and to come back tomorrow. I understand social distancing and two years of COVID has affected the world on different levels but let’s get real people how do you possibly charge your over inflated rates with your less then standard quality and quantity. Prior to our stay at this property we rented an ocean view house walking distance to ocean with our own private pool for a month in Nicaragua for less then what we paid for this place. Read the fine print when booking online.

The grounds surrounding the villas were beautifully maintained. The limited Staff was pleasant.

Here is what happened for us. Remember, this is an 'ALL INCLUSIVE' hotel and we had paid a high price. We got it around 5pm. We requested to see if there is a ocean view room and the gentleman helping us with checkin said he would check and wait for 15 mins or so. After 15mins, we checked again and he said a few more mins. Since we came from long drive, we went to have their snack bar. Snack bar for such an all inclusive, was a huge disappointment. It was literally a small little corner with a few sandwiches and salad bar. Back to checkin - when we returned around 6.15pm, there was lady now and not the gentleman who was helping us. When we asked about our 2 rooms, she said she had no idea as her colleague didnt tell her anything. He had gone for dinner!! She didnt apologize, nor called her colleague to check! We explained to her about what happened and she just pointed to what was in the booking. We asked for the manager and she said she couldnt get his attention as he was helping another upset guest. After a few mins, he came to the reception still helping the other guest, unaware of our situation. By now, it was closer to 7pm. The previous gentleman returned but he didnt want to help us, just pointed to the manager. Still waiting, no word of apology at all! Finally the manager came to help us around 7pm, we explained our situation and all he said was the we didnt book for an ocean front view. We had already acknowledged that in the beginning itself, our wait started only because the 1st person said he would try and asked us to wait for 15 mins. Now it was close to 2 hours of waiting. By now, we all were very frustrated for these reasons - unnecessary waiting with incorrect info from 1st help, lack of communication to 2nd, un-apologetic staff including the manager! Room & bathroom - 3 star like. Old, rusted metal areas.

Booking.com or any other site reviews of 4.5 or 5 star is VERY MISLEADING! At best this could be a 2.5 star. Using both spaces to share how BAD this hotel is. Reception staff is incompetent, limited English, lack of communication within staff, room/bathroom, was more like 3 star. The checkin process was very bad. For such a big facility, only 1 person at the reception?? Next day, we did see another staff member walking by who saw the line of 5 guests waiting while 1 person was helping with checkin, yet didnt bother to help until someone else asked him to help. It is same line for checkin, checkout, query, booking anything else. Expect to spend half hour or more before being helped each time. Reception staff & other staff is not trained to welcome guests etc. We did find a couple that were helpful on their own in the buffet area. Half hour show at night, was good. For the overall all inclusive price though, not worth paying for just this half hour show. Food, not so great. We are vegetarians, so limited to salad, rice, beans and desserts. Easy access to the beach, beautiful sunset to watch which you could get in other hotels instead of this pricy one.

The hotel it is called All Inclusive, but compared with others hotels the will charge extra for the a la carte restaurants, really bad customer service. They gave us a room that was not cleaned, the bed sheets smell really bad they had to change it. The maintenance of the facilities is poor, the rooms are old, the air conditioner does not work propperly, we wanted to play with pool table and was with dust and not working. This is the worst "All inclusive" hotel I have stayed, I do not recommend it at all. The price is too high for the quality they provide.
