Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The facilities and amenities were worth the hotel rate -- although the premium cantin in particular was often out ofwater -- overall were nice. Staff was helpful but the AC in the first assigned room was not working. The elevator is strangely designed to open between two floors so that, for example, if your room is on the 2nd floor, guests have to carry their luggage and walk down 12 steps to get to their room. It was a challenge for us because our luggage was quite heavy (for a 17-day stay in Costa).

On arrival my key card didn't open my room, I went back to reception, and the lady just did something and said try again. 5 star, I would expect an apology at least, or an explanation that sometimes they don't work? This sounds minor, but there were a few examples like this. Still highly recommend it.
The bed was huge and so comfy, with beautiful sheets. The pool area is fabulous, hammocks and shade, food was good (portions too big). Man on desk was great, I needed to use a computer urgently and the facility was shut for maintenance all week, so he arranged a temporary solution.

United StatesThere was a little mix-up with our pick-up at the airport, but one of the taxi drivers called the hotel, and someone came right away. The taxi driver even made sure we were in the correct place. Our first experience with the kindness of the Costa Rican people that we found throughout the trip!
The pool area and grounds were lovely. It was the perfect place for a day of rest after a long day of travel.

United StatesYou have to book a shuttle to the airport 24 hours in advance but we didn't arrive at the hotel 24 hours before we needed to get to the airport so we were not able to get a shuttle and had to pay to take a taxi.
The hotel and room was beautiful. There were a lot of options for the buffet breakfast. The hotel grounds and garden were also beautiful. The restaurants were open late which was nice since we arrived in the evening.

Breakfast and evening meal had limited choices. Good fresh fruit and salad buffet but very little hot options. Loved the bedroom, large, very comfortable, good bathroom, toiletries and always beautifully cleaned. We chose to be on the premium (top ) floor which had a small lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks open all day which we enjoyed. Nice swimming pool area with plenty of loungers and towels available. Good poolside grill restaurant Also loved the beautiful gardens.
