The bed was very comfortable and there was enough space to store luggage, even if the doors for the closet were missing. They offer refill water and free coffee. You can also use an open kitchen. The property could be a little cleaner (leaves everywhere) but it is very natural. Loved the hammock outside the room. The beach is about 10min away from the hotel and you can see so many animals around.

Soundproofing was not great between rooms. Not ideal without a car as the busy road is the only way to walk to restaurants or supermarket.

Room was lovely. Comfortable bed and lots of shelf’s to unpack. Warm water, free coffee and a nice pool. Setting is private and peaceful. Great kitchen for guests to use.

Just a paradize!! Really great place with feeling that you are in the midle of jungle! You can swim in the pool,you can see different animals around!!! Very nice that there is possibility to cook and that there is drinking water and coffe available! in Costa Rica, there are mostly problems with toilet pipes everywhere, so paper is not allowed in them. if you do this, or if the previous ones have done it, the water in the pot will dam up

There was a large (like 1 gallon) coffee pot outside on a table, but it was never running with fresh coffee in the morning. It would be nice if they set it up with coffee and water the night before and maybe explain that if you are the first guest to use it, please just plug it in. So I wound up making small pots of coffee each morning in the little kitchen that is available for guests, which was fine but less convenient when waking up. Our room was totally clean otherwise, but there was a big streak of mold on the wall in the bathroom. It wasn't a big deal, this is the tropics after all, but it would be a point for improvement. For the owner, it was near the toilet right as you enter the bathroom.

Clean pool and beautiful groundskeeping. Nestled into the edge of the jungle, there are many beautiful plants and animals nearby. The room is cozy with and without AC depending on how you're feeling. The decor was pretty throughout and it felt well thought out and cozy at the same time. Be aware that this is not as close to Puerto Viejo as other destinations, but is still very close and within Tuk Tuk or bicycle range. The benefits of the jungle sounds and peacefulness were worth it.

Friendly people and a wonderful garden to relax in - located close to beach and restaurants, with safe parking and a gate. Clean room and comfi bed! Beautiful wildlife noises and just overall wonderful stay.

In the first room our toilet was broken, they gave us a new room, but here the shower was broken, but they were able to fix it.

Nice location, away from the busy town. We took a taxi and the. rented bikes to get around. Nice garden, we saw a sloth in a tree. It was clean and spacious and really close to a lovely beach. There were soms nice cats and dogs as well

The smell from the pipes of the toilet wasn’t pleasant. May be sewage has issues.

Accomadation was big, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was nice. Propably the nicest beach in the area just a few minutes by foot.

The property feels private and lush. Staying there was like having my private piece of paradise. The most beautiful beach was a small walk away . . .

The smaller room had a bathroom that was poorly aired. This made it stinky very fast and very difficult to dry out things, in a place that is in itself quite humid.

The facilities are very nicely maintained and tasteful. The bigger family room had a very nice terrace and all rooms have hammocks. Even if not very remote, lots of wildlife around.

Some of the garden chairs were so broken that it was nearly unusable. The refrigerator in the houses is quite noisy and since it is in rhetorical main bedroom it can be quite annoying during the night.

Located in the rainforest. We had the pleasure of getting visits from howling apes, hummingbirds, snakes and big spiders. All of them outside the house. The swimming pool was nice, clean and refreshing.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Case Merlin exceeded expectations. We were a 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach. It is right in a forest with monkeys, macaws, toucans, agoutis, hummingbirds and more all viewable from the villa. The staff were so nice and laid back and relaxed. I just wish we had stayed longer.

I did not like that the there were towels and bathing suits all over the lawns and all around the pool. I don’t think I got a decent picture where there wasn’t a pile of towels on the grass or next to the pool in the background. It’s too bad because the scenery is gorgeous but it looked super cluttered and messy.

The property itself was beautiful. It was surrounded by so much nature.

The pool below the trees and among the plenty of tropical plants in the whole area was just amazing. Room was clean, both girls at the reception were kind and helpfull. Also position of the hotel is great, close to a beautiful beach.
