We had high expectations for Posada el Quijote before arriving as a result of the many excellent reviews and were not disappointed. The location is excellent, with stunning views of the city and the hotel feels more like you have been invited into someone’s beautiful home, due to the spacious and nicely appointed shared living areas. The service was great and the inclusive breakfast was very good too. All for a very reasonable price.

Loved the style and feel of the posada, like staying in a private home. The pool and stunning views down over the city. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Huge room. Cute cats everywhere too. I’m a light sleeper and sound insulation onto the corridor wasn’t the best so heard other guests arriving and departing but very peaceful spot apart from that. Will be back!

Such a lovely place to stay - nice little gardens, amazing view, and the hotel have a little dog and a few friendly cats that are gorgeous and really well cared for. We also saw hummingbirds, parrots and even a toucan on the property during our stay.

This is an amazing little find! Quiet and relaxing with beautiful views and lovely little gardens. The pool, gardens, and rooms were pristine and breakfast was lovely. It was perfect for a few days before we start our tour - we're returning for 4 days at the end and can't wait 😀

View of San Jose both during the day and night were fabulous. Breakfast and coffee also fabulous. Pool looked great too, even though I did not swim. We had rides coordinated with the hotel and had a wonderful driver to and from the airport. Very friendly and felt at home. They had cute cats on the property as well!

It is a nice hotel with a beautiful view of the central valley, the facilities are in very good condition, a pleasant atmosphere since it is located away from the main road.

Property was in a great location with beautiful views of the sunrise and the city! Pool was a fantastic touch. Friendly cats roaming the property put a home vibe to the stay! Fernando was amazing, the staff were very attentive and accommodating. Bed was comfortable and the room was beautiful! I would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful view of the city, especially at night. Staff were very helpful and kind. We were having trouble ordering pizza on New Year’s Day and they helped by calling a few pizza places, and getting them to deliver.

Very difficult to find, as GPS wasn't much help. A few maintenance issues in the room, esp the big hole in the screen door.

Gorgeous property with a fabulous view over the city! Appreciated that the desk clerk arranged a takeout meal for us. Loved the friendly cats, too.
