Excellent location, easy walk into town but far enough away to be quiet. Property overlooks the ocean, amazing sunrises. Naty was a wonderful host, very accommodating and helpful with local information.

The hostel is very comfortable, you feel like home. The highlight is the view and the distance to the beach (a small beach, almost always empty). You can be eating or chilling and always see the ocean. The staff is very sympathic, the others customers too. There is a kitchen, many bathrooms. The hostel propose some tours so it's easier to book. I wanted to stay longer but the hostel was already full... In conclusion, I totally recommand this place !!

The lighting of the common area at night should be improved to make it cosier and a little brighter. Some warm light could really improve the already great terrace at night.

Nice vibe overall and incredible sunrise on the ocean. The common area with hammocks is relaxing and inviting. The room and kitchen areas were clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions and doubts, Luís helped us organise our activities. The Montezuma waterfall is at walking distance, a few minutes away from the hostel and it’s breathtaking! We had a great time in Montezuma and the area around it!

I stayed for 4 nights at Luminosa and I would have loved to expand my stay but it was fully booked! The hostel has everything you could ask for: Big, spacious kitchen with lot of equipment and free coffee, clean and comfortable rooms, hammocks, a balcony and a terrace, a little garden, right at the beach with a little private beach. It‘s not far from the center, has various restaurants in near distance and is only 5 minutes from the Montezuma water falls. They offer laundry service for a few dollars too. The staff is great as well, especially Luis! Ask him about the natural pools :) Definitely the best hostel I stayed at in Costa Rica.

I didn't like that woman was cleaning my bed everyday. It made me crazy because I wanted at least privacy in my bed. I asked them twice don't do it. And sometimes she didn't do it. Thank you.

Knives very dull, but they are well loved.

The location is lovely, the best sunrises in all of costa rica. Very comfortable hammocks and wonderful shared kitchen. Easily walkable to town and surrounding beaches. Naty is super knowledgeable of the are and offers great advice. Booking shuttles, tours, or atvs easy and great prices. Loved so much wildlife around, nature lovers paradise.

Amazing ocan view from the hostel, I spent a lot of time in one of the hammocks, reading books, meditating and feeling simply happy! The most beatiful sunrises and the persistant sound of the ocean are exceptional. The staff is really helpful and great, inspirational backpackers travellers from different parts of the globe. I met also great local friends from Costa Rica and visited so many beautiful places and even pool parties in Cabuya:)

If you want to wake up with an amazing view : this is your stay. Other than that the hostel offers everything you expect to for an hostel (clean bathroom and kitchen, good beds, places to chill around). The natural pool are def a plus 😊 and it's only 10min away from the town center.

I love the location of the hostel. Around 15 min walk from the center. Right on the sea with an amazing sunrise and beautiful beaches near by. You can walk to the waterfalls. Staff is very nice and helpful

It’s right next to a nearly private beach and big tide pools for swimming. There are a lot of hammocks hung around the property both on the veranda and among the palm trees which are lovely to relax in. Surfing lessons are offered by an instructor partnered with the hostel. The layout makes it easy to talk to people. The kitchen has everything necessary and the place is cleaned every day. I loved my time there

We had to share one bathroom for 9 people.

We loved the view of the ocean from the balcony of the hostel. We could watch the sunrise and the sunset anywhere on the property. The staff was very kind and accommodating. It took us 15 minutes by foot to get to the center of Montezuma. There is also a little beach right next to the hostel. We had an amazing time and we'll definitely come back:)
