Very friendly people and the sound of the sea is so close you feel like you’re on a boat

The hostel is 10 minutes away on foot from the center of Montezuma. Although the area is supposed to be safe, it didn't feel nice to walk back to the hostel after dark.

Very nice vibe and incredibly cool view on the ocean from the garden. Watching sunrise from there is recommended. The hosts were super nice and helpful.

so peaceful, perfect location and listening to the sea crashing on the rocks while chilling in a hammock is perfect. great little kitchen, they provide drinking water and a lovely atmosphere. staff very helpful with good recommendations Aircon in private room also amazing

This is the most beautiful located Hostel we stayed in during our four weeks trip in Costa Rica. The staff is very nice, the rooms are clean and the kitchen well equipped. Just be prepared that Montezuma is a very small town and there sometimes can be issued with water and electricity. ;) We enjoyed our stay here very much!

The staff and the owner were super nice, also it’s owned by local which is nice. The view from terrace is amazing and the rooms are good value for money.

Only two bathrooms for the whole hostel. The upstairs bathroom is shared by a maximum of 10 people, definitely not enough.

The owner of the hostel is super helpful and gives you loads of tips at check-in. The beds were relatively comfy and there were 3 fans in the room so it was cool enough at night. The location is the best thing about the hostel, overlooking the ocean. There is a small beach you can access from the hostel and the main beach is only 10 mins walk, along with the centre of Montezuma. The hammocks are a great place to relax. The free waterfall entrance is also only 5 mins away.

Beautiful view, never seen such an stunning hostel view! Friendly owner and volunteers. A lot of hammocks to chill. Close enough to town. Soda just 10 meters away. Decent kitchen. Clean bathrooms.

The shared dorm was basic and only okay. Two shared dorms share one bathroom which is joint with an entrance from each dorm. So you have to lock two doors - which is no problem if you remember to unlock both doors when you leave. When someone does no do that and you want to go to the bathroom during the night or in the morning and the bathroom door for you is locked even though no one is in there is a bit annoying. The internet was down for one of the two days I stayed there (not sure if it was weather conditions or internet companys fault - but also annoying). The kitchen and stove did no work well the first night, the gas in the stove was so low that it took forever to fry or cook anything. The next 2 days it worked well.

The location and the sea view with an amazing sunrise every morning was the best of this hostal. Then the treatment of the owner and staff was lovely! Although the location is 10min walking distance to the village it was worth it for the sea view!

Such a beautiful place to stay, the views are incredible! A great base for exploring Montezuma, or just relaxing in a hammock looking at the sea. Naty is lovely and very helpful with organising transport and tours!

The rooms are mixed-gender. The one that I slept in was shared with 6 other people. Overall there are two rooms and there is one bathroom for both these rooms.

The view is very beautiful. The host/owner was not there for the check-in but gave me a description of where my bed was.

I truly don't understand why the reviews are so good. The hostel is so dirty and old. I had ants in my bed, the bathroom smelled like vomit, the kitchen was disgusting and closed off so warm, full of ants everywhere, you have 1 bathroom shared between 12 people and two rooms connected to the same toilet. Kitchen and public bathroom close at 22h with a key, the owners or employee are never there I had to talk on the phone with the owner to book a tour..the nice volunteer there didn't know much and seemed like she didn't have support from the owners. There is a family of locals living at the hostel with a kid and they barely can say hola and smile. In the dorm there is a double bed for a couple, I thought this was awkward. I hated the place so much that I left early and they kept the money because my rate was none refundedable but at this point I was like "keep my money I don't care I'm out"

The view from the hostel is awesome I must say and there are some white faced capucin Monkey coming very close to steal stuff and that was pretty cool and funny. Close your doors !

There is 1 toilet and shower for 2 rooms, also the toilet couldn't be locked individually from the shower.

The nature, surroundings, and location were awesome. Also Naty is wonderfull.

We were in the private room which had a terrible shower (water came out above the shower head rather than through it which created bad water flow), only one of the two fans worked (otherwise $7 for air con per night), the lockable storage was full of ants. The room is tired and needs an update

There was a good atmosphere at the property with friendly fellow guests. Cooking facilities were available and there was a nice view out to sea with natural pool in the rocks nearby

The entire time I was there I didn’t have water to shower or wash myself. There was an outdoor shower that only worked some of the time. They were doing roadwork and I think had to shut off the water because of that. We couldn’t even flush toilets…

It’s in such an amazing location and the space is really really beautiful. It’s right on the beach and really quiet. The rooms are clean and have fans too :)
