NOTHING - Some people may dislike the location due to the presence of some homeless people in the area. They really do not bother you. There are security guards and national police at the entrance of the 7-10 terminal which is right in front of the Hostel. I felt safe and I was traveling with another female traveler.

W's Hostel location is very convenient for those that are taking a bus from one of the terminals nearby 7-10 and the MEPE bus station a few blocks away. FYI the convenience store and restaurant at the MEPE bus station are cheaper.

Unfortunately there was no window in our room so it was very high humidity (wet bed) so it was not possible to have a good sleep. Its close to the bus station but also in a very bad area and they told us its better to take a cab in the night. So all in all it would be better to sleep somewhere else, have a good sleep and just take a cab to the bus terminal.

the property was very clean, friendly staff and with plenty of space. it’s literally across the street from 7-10 bus terminal too which was amazing for my 6am bus! for the price and location, it was above and beyond my expectations.

Huge, modern and clean room with a king+ sized comfy bed. Right next to the bus station, 30 meters walk. Easy checkin, nice kitchen, nice lady who runs it and it was easily the best value for money we have gotten in the whole of Costa Rica. Shared living room and kitchen made us feel like we were at home chilling in our appartment, and the lady let us stay there as long as we wanted after checkout to wait for our plane.

The checkin was complicated, we were stuck outside with no wifi and the area was scary. When I called the woman for the wifi password she said things in spanish that I couldn't understand and hung up on me. We had to ask other hostel guests for the wifi code. Also, if you want to pay by paypal it's 2$ extra, which wasn't mentioned on booking. There was noise all night from neighbours. Also no hot water.

the location was not great. many people warned us not to leave the property because the surrounding area is very dangerous. there were cops posted up on every corner around the hostel. I would not recommend staying here long-term

the check in process was super easy. it was a fine affordable place to rest our heads before a long bus ride. the wifi was good and we were able to stream without any issues

We wouldn't necessarily want to roam the nearby streets at night, but ordering food to the hostel was quick and easy.

W's Hostel is an ideal place to stay the night before taking an early bus from the 7-10 terminal. The hostel is clean and modern.

I did not get to stay there. I arrived there at night around 20.00 o’clock and the area is not safe. There was something going on and the police was there. For me it did not feel safe so i chose the leave.

W's Hostel is a traveler's heaven in an rather unpleasant area of San Jose. Very nice equipped kitchen and run by helpful and trustworthy people. Can highly recommend if you want to catch an early bus or want to be close to the bus station.

I love the room that I booked. It is a nice place to stay in a convenient location across the street from the the 7-10 bus stop. I'm glad to have discovered it and will stay there again. Ms. Floro was amazing kind and helpful. She even tried to help my son and I get a taxi to the Gran Terminal del Caribe at 2 am in the morning. All of the official red taxis were lazy and unreliable, refused to drive my son and I to the bus terminal. So we had to walk - at 2 am in the morning it was a bit dangerous and scary, but we got there safe. One red taxi that I'd taken prior, drove around the block a second time to increase his metered fare dishonestly - thinking I wouldn't notice. I'm done dealing with red taxi drivers they are dishonest in my experience, and even hostile towards foreigners. I'd recommend getting Uber set up and working at home before you travel to CR, and get a CR sim card so that your Uber app will work to book a local ride wherever you need.

It is good for one night. The area is a bit rough but not harmful. I would still be cautious if I was traveling solo as a woman.

Super nice modern apartment, super clean. Big room. Just in front of bus station. Easy check in and check out. Feel safety inside.
