I would suggest adding a more clear sign that is lit at night at the entry, we arrived in late evening and missed the gate the first time.

The host was very welcoming, the breakfast was very good (best fresh fruits ever!), sounds of the multitude of birds in the morning was out of this world beautiful, and the view of the volcano and the tropical garden surrounding the property were fantastic. The property is older, the rooms are small, but have the main basics. The views, the birds, and the local beauty make up for lack of luxury.

The drawback is it’s not too far from main road leading to Fortuna waterfall so you’ll hear some car traffic. We did have ants when we checked in but they immediately took care of it when notified.

Excellent location with virtually unobstructed views of Arenal volcano. The grounds are well maintained with a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast that is included was good as well. The bed was comfortable enough for a 2 night stay. Easy parking available onsite. Everything seems to be well organized and good WiFi signal. Close by restaurants, 8 min drive to downtown and 3 min drive to Fortuna waterfall. As others have mentioned, the cabins are rustic but have what’s needed for comfortable stay. No TV if it matters to anyone, didn’t for us. The refrigerator is a big plus too.

Tio Félix is very friendly, the location is perfect and the views of volcano arenal exceptional. The yard is splendid and well taken care of. Breakfast was good and we could even choose the time we wanted breakfast. Owners put bananas in the yard and it's super easy to look at all the birds!

We had a few ants come to our room one night. But- that is what happens in the rainforest.

The gardens are lovely and the Volcano is right outside the door. Tons of birds to watch. Big porch with rocking chairs to relax in.

The staff was very nice and caring, the traditional breakfast was great, the garden was amazing, the room comfy, friendly animals everywhere and the view was breathtaking.

Cozy lodge on the countryside. It's a small family run lodge with few bungalows. Room was clean and comfortable and came with a nice breakfast. It's about 30min walk or a short Uber ride (3$) away from the city. The waterfall is in walking distance

You do need a car to go to and from the property.

The cabin is well set up and very clean. We were comfortable and very relaxed. The gardens around the cabins are beautiful with so many interesting birds. The breakfast was delicious and hearty.

The lodge was in a great spot just outside of town. It was a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna, with so many birds! The breakfast was massive and delicious and the host was amazingly kind. Would recommend to anyone who has a car and is looking for places to stay in La Fortuna. It also had the best pillow I've slept on in weeks!

The wall beside the bed has a rough texture and woke me up alot. The curtains are thin and we needed to unscrew the light bulb to sleep. We were up with early morning light every day because of all the light in the place. Accommodations are adjoining and at times it was hard to sleep for long with the noise of neighbours babies crying.

Beautiful to see tropical birds right outside each morning. We loved the morning chorus. Loved all the many flowers. Fireflies and cicadas to enjoy at night. It is an easy 30 min walk uphill to a gorgeous waterfall and neighbouring trail network. Downhill are restaurants, gardens, and more trails. I liked being away from town with reduced traffic noise.

Credit card not accepted. Owner did not know English, but it was not a hurdle in the overall stay as both of us used Google translate.

Amazing location, great unobstructed view of Arenal Volcano. Staff was very friendly. We even milked cows at the farm. It was amazing to wake up to the sound of birds chirping. (The owner puts food for the birds in the morning and you're able to spot 7-8 species of birds). You get a good option of continental or typical(Costa Rican) breakfast prepared fresh. A lot of flora and fauna around with good nature vibe. The rooms are not fancy, but very clean. We travelled in December and did not need air conditioning at all.

The position was amazing, in front of the volcano Arenal. The cabins were clean and with a great view too. The surroundings were nice, the town of La Fortuna was far so there was only the sound of the nature. Tio Felix showed us in the morning his farmi with cose, he was really nice!!

Is not that I didnt like but I would have enjoyed this place more if it would have had some kind of AC system, especially at night. The weather was humid and hot. There were 2 good fans, though. I would have liked more light under the storage area next to the bathroom. I had to use my phone flashlight. A small table plus a chair in the room would have been very convenient. We bought dinner one night and had to eat seated on our beds. Not a big deal but it would ve been useful. A small bench can be added to the bathroom as well. I enjoyed my stay very much. I am totally satisfied with the price value.

Location was perfect. Lov3d this place. If it had AC , I would have hiven it a 10+. TF eco Lodge is about 10 mins from LA fortuna downtown, far enough to enjoy mother nature. Sleeping there is a pleasure! A few minutes from La Fortuna waterfall. In general 10 to 25 mins from attractions: 7 mins from Arenal Mundo Adventure, 25 mins from Mistico Park, 20 mins from Arenal1968, 30 mins from Observatory lodge, 15 mins from Sloth Territory. Beautiful view of the volcan from my room. Birds singing, 🐄s mooing, so relaxing. Mr. FELIX allowed us to milk one of his cows that they have in the property. Breakfast area, the"Rancho" was an open space with a small shared kitchen that you can use if u wish. There 's a roof in that area. You can enjoy the sounds of nature while having breakfast. The room was spacious as well as the bathroom. Breakfast was v good! Two options available, Costa Rica style( rice and black beans with scramble eggs, sausage, plantains plus a generous plate of local fruits, piña,banana and the other option is Continental, scrambled eggs and slices of bread , mermelade, plus fruits. Both options served with coffee or tea. I loved the large mirror in the room! Plenty of hooks to hang things was convenient although a couple more could be addedvto the door to hung personal backpacks. The internet was great! Super fast. Hot water in the shower was divine. I recommend this place.

This is NOT a complaint: Just be aware that it is a bit of a walk to town. We love walking but if you don’t - not for you.

Very friendly host, flexible with breakfast service times, Lovely peaceful garden setting for sitting in a rocking chair, with views to Volcan Arenal and hummingbirds on the bushes just metres away. Very close to waterfall and Cerro Chaco hike.
