We were in the only room with a window towards the main street and the direction where the wind was blowing from (it can be quite strong in this area). So even during night, it was quite noisy in the room. Except this, all was good.

Good value for money, very clean and extremely nice host ready to help with anything and book activities for you with discount.

Great place to stay at in Monteverde, Lily is a very welcoming host, the room was impeccable clean and so was the communal place and kitchen, which is equipped with all that you need, and regularly cleaned. 10/10 will look up to staying there again if I return to Monteverde !

Monteverde is a popular place among international visitors, so there are many activities offered by the locals, one of which is mountain biking, which causes noise pollution throughout the day, especially at night. It's not the problem from the lodge, it's a public issue from the town. There is no way to hide it, because most of hostels are not soundproof. If you are a light sleeper, just bring earplugs that might help out a little bit.

The house is right next to a family-run shop, you can buy those groceries that you need. Lily is the owner, she is very caring. There was heavy rain while I was staying there, and Lily came to check on me, make sure everything is ok. The kitchen is fully equipped, the neighbors are nice, you can also enjoy the hot shower whenever you want.

It was a bit of a trek from the centre with our big backpacks and lots of hills but the whole area is similar so it’s to be expected.

Our host Lily was fantastic, so welcoming and happy to help with anything! She really made our stay great and even provided us with a late check out as we were leaving at 2pm. It’s low season at the moment so we had the place to ourselves, the kitchen was great, had everything we needed and there’s a supermarket right next door. Also had a fridge in our room which was really handy. We did book our tours in advance but we wish we had of booked through Lily as she provides a discount. We loved the personal touches of people who stayed there signing messages on the wall and the hammocks out the back were cute too.

The place is perfect for groups as it has hostel vibes, but it’s a house just for you! Lily makes you feel right at home! We really enjoyed the outdoor area as well, which is simple but great for laying in the hammocks and to sit together for breakfast, dinner ….

No toilet seat in the shared bathroom (just the lid and toilet bowl rim). Would be nice to have oil in the kitchen to cook with.

Lily is such a kind and friendly host. She keeps the house immaculate, cleaning especially the kitchen, bathroom, and floors daily. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, dishware, glasses/mugs. Tea and coffee was provided as were salt and pepper. Soap and towels were provided for the luke warm shower. The bed was comfortable, as were the linens and pillows. We really appreciate having a desk, shelves, and hanging rack in our room. The wifi worked well. Convenient to have a small, but mighty supermarket next door. Great location to drive to Monteverde Cloud Forest and do a coffee/chocolate tour from. The common living space and kitchen were large enough to share and it was nice to have a TV.

Lili is a very nice and friendly host. The place is simple but clean and with all the needed facilities, with a shared kitchen and a place to relax with hamocks and a table in the backyard. There is a free parking place just outside the house, which was super convenient. Highly recommended!

On a fairly busy lane. We feared a lot of noise at night, but it wasn't too bad.

You can't find better value for money in Monteverde/Santa Elena. The host, Lili, goes out of her way to help you. She never intrudes. Delicious free coffee in the morning. Parking at the door, as well as a small supermarket. Close to the village (a steep road though). Shower works very well. Kitchenette where you can make your own breakfast/dinner. Also a common room. Lili also helps to book activities (with discount).

Lili is incredibly warm and hospitable! Breakfast was amazing everyday, and the house is clean, tidy and well equipped. Outdoor space with hammocks and car parking is a big bonus. Thanks so much for hosting us!

Loved it here, what a charming, clean, comfortable, and affordable stay in otherwise very expensive Monteverde. Well equipped kitchen, spacious common area, the most powerful (and hot!) shower we've had in 2 months of travelling CA. But the icing on the cake is Lili. She is so warm and kind, and will go out of her way to help you. Monteverde is spectacularly hilly and we knew we couldn't make it to the bus station (30 mins away) for the 4.20am bus with our huge backpacks, Lili was so invested in getting us a ride! Can't recommend her place enough.

Excellent service and great place. it was clean and nice, and Lili is a wonderful host. We even broke the bedroom window on our first night at like 4am because someone tripped while getting out of bed, and within a few hours, Lili fixed everything and we had a new window installed in less than 5 hours. It's a great place to stay while traveling to Monteverde.

You need a car because if you want to go to a restaurant you always have to go uphill.

Lily was a great host with a big smile. Everything was very clean and you got a lot of storage options. Lily helped out to organize a great coffee tour.

It was a little loud due to the room facing the street so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The bed was a little a little hard, but overall a great budget booking.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in a room with a private bathroom. Lili was fantastic. Eggs or pancakes with fruit are available every morning. Ask her for help booking tours and she will arrange it for you. There is a convenience store right next door and hammocks in the back to relax.
