We had a nice time at Splanada poilon. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast was nice and the staff is really nice. If you have the possibility, taste their grog from their own production. We also had dinner at their restaurant and the food was incredibly good.

The room was way too big with just basic furnature, felt almost empty and the bathroom had a terrible smell.

The view to the mountains with the morning sun and the breakfast area was nice. Location was great, but not for being in the centrum - there you have to walk 15 minutes.

Location unbelievably beautiful. I did leave the car further away so wouldn’t have to drive on the very narrow two way street, so a 5min walk. Room was super clean and spacious. When we stayed there there was very little other people so very nice and calm. Food was simple but good. When we went, the employees didn’t really speak English but we got by. Pool was cool.

Magnificent views. Good breakfast. Huge room. Someone from the hotel picked us up from the airport and dropped us into Praia, at a good price. Otherwise, we would never have been able to get to and from there. Good to see another side to Cape Verde as mainly staying on Sal.

The shower facilities in the room were not exceptional compared to the rest of the structure.

Really nice hotel in a lovely location, with a great view on the surrounding valley. Spacious and comfortable room. The structure also has a nice swimming pool overlooking the valley, and also provides an excellent local cuisine.

Located on a steep cobbled unlit lane around a mile from the centre of Assomada but taxi is only €2 max.

Nice views, high up and comfortable accommodation. Good leisure area with shallow pool, loungers, tables and chairs. Staff were really friendly and helpful, despite, at times, language difficulties.

Everything about the hotel is perfect. The location is amazing with beautiful views of the mountains. The rooms are clean and spacious, the food was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and thanks to the kind owners who made us feel welcome. I highly recommend Splanada poilon.

the staff is friendly, but communication is very difficult if you don't speak Portuguese, the bed was very uncomfortable and the duvet had an unpleasant smell, There are very strong sweet scents throughout the hotel, the swimming pool was not usable

the view from the hotel is amazing, the food in the hotel tasted good, the two staffgirls were friendly and used google translate for communication, the hotel is cheap

The very friendly welcome and the exceptionally accommodating and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean rooms The small swimming pool to cool off in. The location (in a quiet end of this already quiet town) and the beautiful views. The walk down the hill to look at the tree (why take a taxi?)

The curtains in my room didn't offer adequate coverage, and although the terrace wasn't overly crowded, it still made taking a shower a bit less comfortable.

The breakfast was not only delicious but also authentically local. Dinner at the hotel was equally delightful. The staff, with their helpful, charming, and warm demeanor, added to the overall enjoyable experience. The rooms were comfortable, boasting an incredible mountain view that added to the overall charm of the stay.

I loved everything, Hamilton the owner received us with a great smile and a lot of attention to detail. Ni the chef prepared us a wonderful dinner, and local breakfast freshly made. Danielle and Steve served us, and shared their culture with us with a lot of sympathy. The swimming pool was clean and has an awesome view to the Malagueta mountains and valley. The bedroom was very spacious and immaculate. And had an amazing view. I would totally recommend the place to anyone who's searching for a nice, comfy and "it feels like home 🏠 place". The music in the esplanade was local and really pleasant. Amazing and thanks for everything dear hosts.

Amazing setting! Sparkling clean, helpful staff and great food. We had all of our meals there and nothing disappointed! We took a collective cab from Praia which was pretty easy and took us to the center of Assumada, 15min walking distance from the property Short walk to this amazing tree “Poilon” and lots of nature to explore around
