Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyA nice coming back to this nice hotel in Ktima. In a very quiet district, but close to the bus station and the city hall with many lunch and dining possibilities all around. Comfortable room with a view and all facilities (AC included) and bountiful breakfast, both sweet (some traditional Greek cakes, such as risogalo or orange cake, among others) and savoury. See you next time!

This hotel just celebrated it's 50th anniversary. Staying there it's evident why. Everything was spotless. The staff were so accommodating. The bed was comfortable. The location was great. We had a room with a balcony and a sea view. There was a clothing rack on the balcony so we were able to wash a few items and hang to dry. Breakfast was delicious. All the main items plus a treat of rice pudding one morning. Parking is right there in the parking lot of the property.

FranceThe rooms were clean and comfortable, they appeared to have been refreshed recently. Great views of the sea and although to far to walk to the beach it was only a short drive and there are some great beaches. There is a lovely newly created park area just steps from the entrance which leads to an area with great restaurants and bars. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. There is a small bar which was perfect for a nightcap. A complimentary bottle of water as we arrived and free top ups from a machine by the bar was very welcome.

ItalyI guess this was my shorted stay ever at a hotel (for I arrived late at night and left quite eatly in the morning)… though that was enough to appreciate my room with a comfortable double be and its facilities and the good and generous breakfast to be had sitting on a veranda with view over Paphos. Nice staff. See you really soon 😉

I have recently spent 2 nights at Axiothea Hotel in Paphos. Though it is a 2-star hotel it definitely exceeded my expectations; this property deserves far more merit than 2 stars. Due to a late flight, we arrived at the hotel after the Reception closing time, but they kindly waited for us and gave us a bottle of complimentary water and lent us the proper plug adapter. We were granted a room on the third floor with a stunning view of the sea and the lower Paphos from the balcony. It might be a bit far from the beach, but the location on the edge of a rise and the proximity to the Old Town make up for it, especially that there is public transportation within a few hundred meters of the door. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, with all the amenities one might need: free toiletries, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, air conditioning. The only downside is that there was not safe box, nevertheless I felt very safe to leave my valuables in the room. Breakfast was delicious, with lots to choose from: lemonade, cake and jam were homemade, sausage, eggs, omlette, yoghurts, olives and more all available and in plentiful amounts. This would be a good choice in Paphos for anyone.

CroatiaHad a short stay but anyway didn't find anything to complain about.
Very nice hotel with beautiful view to rhe city and rhe sea. The hotel upgraded me into a room with a balcony on the sea side because they had this type of room available. The wanted you to enjoy the stay even more. It's a very well maintained hotel and very clean. Great location with plenty of good restaurants and bars. All in all, great value for money. Would for sure look for accommodation here when back to Paphos.

United KingdomA well-located and friendly hotel in Ktima Pafos and walking distance to the archaeological sites of Kato Pafos. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Good views over Pafos coast from the rooms with sea view balconies. Free hotel parking available; although spaces were limited there was always space when we needed it.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. I have stayed here on several occasions over the past eight years and it has always been good. The rooms and facilities, the views at the front are amazing, parking is good and private, it is quiet despite being almost in the center of town. And they do a wonderful breakfast too!

United KingdomJust be aware that the walk to the harbour is along a busy main road - but there is also a regular bus for 2e in May 2024. The 20 minute walk to the Tombs of the Kings also involves a lot of main roads.
The staff were so friendly and helpful - they also were very accommodating and responsive when I asked to check in early. The breakfast was great too and the room was big and bright with great AC and a comfortable bed. Close to the Old Town - which was smaller than I expected.

United KingdomThere was nothing negative about the Axiothea.
A fabulous location probably giving the best sea and town views possible and excellent access to the old and new parts of the city. The hotel was very comfortable and impeccably clean. The staff were welcoming, very friendly and extremely efficient. The breakfasts were simply ten out of ten. We loved our week based in Pafos and travelling around the island, the Axiothea was the perfect place to be based.

United KingdomOur room was compact, but comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was a sea view room with a small balcony and great panoramic views across Paphos. With easy parking it was a great location from which to explore both the old and new town. Breakfast was all you could need. It was lovely to stay in a friendly family run hotel which offers all you need for a short stay rather than a large corporate hotel with endless 'facilities' which you don't need!
