It would be more energy efficient stay if the doors and windows were better insulated.

Xenios Cottage is a cosy home with full of everything. Very comfortable studio furbished with traditional Cypriot furniture and accessories. The owner Mr Xenios was kind enough to prepare a breakfast bucket which we did not expect and it was sufficient for a week for two of us as we were going to stay there only two days. It was the coldest two days of the past 35 years but we did not feel it at all. Summary: Very highly recommended…

Xenios and his wife were super kind. Very flexible with the check-in time, they got us cake, breakfast, and snacks. Xenios showed us around the town, which was also amazing. The cottage has a cute authentic vibe. Would definitely recommend to anyone

We're had a magnificent experience in Xenios Cottage! It's a beautifully decorated in traditional Cypriot style house and yard. It's a pleasure to be there and communicate with it's owner. It's got literally everything you might need in: full equipped kitchen with food for your breakfast (including coffee, tea, milk, sugar, bread, eggs, variety of jams, cheese and delis, breakfast cereals for kids) and even home-made pie from the owners wife, and also there was complimentary bottle of wine and snacks. Our cottage had one traditional very comfortable bed with really warm duvet and two sofa-beds with duvets and all the bed lining. There were many extra duvets and pillows in the wardrobe as well. We had a nice time and strongly recommend Xenios Cottage.

We are happy and lucky that we chose Xsenios cottage for our stay in Cyprus. My family spent wonderful 2 weeks there. Every detail in the house is chosen carefully and thoughtfully. Host is warmhearted and kind, ready to help you in any way you need. Lofou is marvellous oppoutunity to see and get the feeling of authentic Cyprus. It is the most lively and taken care small village that we have visited in Cyprus.

The place is absolutely great, very cozy, and authentic. We were impressed how equipped the house was and that the host prepared us a lot of different treats so we didn't have to worry about dinner and lunch. Looking forward to returning to this place again.

If you come by car, enter the village through the south. Otherwise you are in for very narrow roads.

The host goes above and beyond. The house is incredible and the village is cute. It really deserves its perfect rating.

I loved the hostst warm welcoming he guided us to the cottage and also told us were to park so that we could have easy access . He and his wife left us a tray with lots of cheese and deli meat cuts, milk for the breakfast and a lovely spong cake . The house itself was so cozy and most importantly spotless.

Nothing, it was all perfect for us !

WOW ! Such a great and warm experience !!! First of all, the cottages are great! We rented the 2 homes offered for our extended family. There houses are authentic and very well kept. It combines both the original housing elements with modern amenities (WIFI, washing machine, induction stove, etc...). There is a BEAUTIFUL small yard between the 2 hoses, that we have enjoyed so much staying in the evenings for joint dinners. If you book both houses, you actually have an entire private place to an extended family, which is great! Also, one of the houses (the one we rented) has a floor that is actually a fully equipped mini apartment with a bedroom, shower & toilets, a small kitchen, and a small living area with a TV. It can be accessed individually, or joint together with the main house via a door trap door and a ladder, which is very cool, our kids loved it ! But other than the house itself, I want to say something on Xenios, the owner. Xenios is a WONDERFUL person ! He took such good care of us from the second we started communication. First of all, he met us and showed us everything in the houses, with great warmth and patience. Then, he took us all for a walk on the Lofou village, showing us the different historical places, giving recommendations, tips on how to get around, and where to find food, shops and more. Moreover, which is so warming and amazing, Xenios and his lovely wife have equipped both homes with food and treats for all of us ! A homemade cake, wine, various treats, a mixture of serials for the kids - WOW ! But not only that, also in the fridge we found a tray of cheese, jam, sausages, juice, butter, and more. One morning we woke up to another fresh cake that Xenios left on our doorstep. What can I say, I wish all hosts were half as friendly, warm, and welcoming. THANK YOU XENIOS FOR THE AMAZING STAY ! You made our Cyprus experience perfect !!!

Everything was perfect! Xenios is a wonderful host, he took us through entire house and show and explains every detail. The house is very comfortable and cute, with lots of traditional village things. In the same time, there is everything you need for cooking and comfortable rest.

Xenios is a great and accommodating host! Quick to provide information and responsive. Our family was personally welcomed even though we arrived late. Gave us a real surprise - great cake, snacks and wine, as the local shops and restaurants were already closed. We felt welcome and really enjoyed our stay in these apartments - the beautifully renovated building and its ancient interior, the charming courtyard, where we could enjoy the warm March morning in silence. I would definitely choose these apartments again and recommend them to other families. Maris

We had a wonderful (too short) time in this gem in the middle of Lofou. Xenios is an exceptional, friendly and helpful host. We didn't miss anything. He took the time to walk with us through the village and explain the history and buildings. The fridge was well stocked for a big breakfast, and a home-baked cake and a bottle of wine were also provided for us - we didn't expect that! The cottage was very clean, the courtyard so inviting...we regretted not being able to stay longer. Thanks for everything, all the best, Xenios!

Our family of five had a delightful 3-night stay at Xenious Cottages in Lofou, Cyprus. The cottages are conveniently located next to public parking and the main village square of picturesque Lofou. The old house we stayed in was well-maintained, and carried a rich character that added to the experience. Our children were particularly thrilled with the old castle-like key and the "secret" staircase linking the levels. The hosts not only warmly welcomed us but also imparted invaluable travel tips, ensuring we made the most of our time in Lofou. A touching gesture was the lovely homemade cake waiting for us upon our late-night arrival.

My legs were too short to climb into the wonderful historic and very comfortable matrimonial bed :) but there are solutions to everything!

Lofou is a lovely village, perfectly situated to explore the south of the island. After having been abandoned some decades ago, it was rebuilt in the traditional style. The cottage is a beautiful example of old mixed with new. Tradition plus all the luxuries of modern life like a wifi, a dishwasher, a washing machine. Perfectly and thoughtfully equipped with all a traveller might need and a lot more. All done with a loving hand. Xenios and his wife are wonderful hosts who put every effort in making their guests welcome. Apart from a very well filled fridge with all you need for breakfast - including a delicious home-made cake - Xenios kept in daily contact and was there to help wherever needed. He even took the time to walk the village with us which was a very memorable tour. His hospitality is outstanding and we enjoyed our stay every second- it was an extraordinary experience! If we ever come back to the island, we will make sure to go back - we found more than a host, we found friendship, wonderful people and more than one reason to return.

Such a lovely place to stay, we wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage was very quiet, beautiful and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything you'd need and more. So many lovely touches including cereal, freshly baked bread and a cake. Eggs, milk, fresh juice and a lovely spread of cold meats and cheese in the fridge. The bed was very comfy. We loved everything about this cottage and Xenios could not have been more helpful. He explained everything well and even took us on a little walk around the village. We are so happy we found this place which was everything we could have wished for.

A wonderful host, so helpful, generous complimentary food including a bottle of lovely Cypriot white wine. Spotless clean. A nice quiet village. We slept very well. The courtyard was very private, for some time to read. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful cottage in the picturesque village of Lofou. Location great, near the cafes. Spacious with most comforts, free WiFi, breakfast included in the form of a warm welcoming package of fresh bread, homemade cake and marmalade, a delicatessen platter. Different coffee and teas; butter, eggs, milk, and water in the fridge. A bottle of wine and traditional sweets at the coffee table. Greek-Cypriot hospitality at its finest.The friendly owners make sure you feel at home. Although it is still summer in Cyprus, we did not need to use the air-condition, the fan was more than enough due to the cottage's location. We are definitely coming back!
