Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicOld pillows, would be great to change! Just a note for immobile people, that there is a steep staircase to the rooms.
Fast check in, very good location next to the metro and tram stop, quiet stay, big and clean room, comfortable mattress, nice new sheets, a soap and shower gel provided.

SerbiaWell there were some stains on the carpet and chairs, as well the bedsheets. It needs to be cleaner!
I really like because tram and metro station was 5 min away and city center by taking metro is like 10 min away. Staff are really sweet and try to communicate even though they don’t know English very well.

ChinaAlmost no room service during my stay. No shower clamp for the shower head. Made it very difficult to shower. Wifi reception was very poor and kept dropping in and out. Staircase is very steep, with a hand rail for only a portion of it.
Breakfast was decent. Location is good.

BulgariaThe staff doesn't speak English. This bothered me a lot, as despite the personnel being very friendly and nice, for me not being able to communicate with the hosts might be problematic and cause issues. The bathroom door in the room won't close. Basically when you poop it's the same as you do it in the same room you sleep in. Too many doors and keys to manage. And every door has its own rules - one should be locked, another should not, closed or not closed it's a little too much.
The place is clean enough, the staff is friendly and the location is very good. There are restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, and pharmacy nearby. Pretty much everything you would need is a few steps away.

NetherlandsIt was a disappointment that we couldn’t have a double bed as was confirmed after our booking.. I advise you to change this possibility on the website, since it’s not possible in this hotel. Also it was very inconvenient that the shower hose could not be hung and the water was sometimes cold. In addition, the price of 200€ that we paid for one night is in our opinion too high for what we got.
The room was OK and clean.

NetherlandsBehaviour of the receptionist. Someone who hates her job and is annoyed by people in general should not work in hospitality. The reviews about the trash under the bed was totaly true. The room did not see vacuum cleaner for a long time.
Location was the only advantage.

LithuaniaAvoid if possible. We had a stay for two nights with early leave. 1. There was a text in bathroom “place used towels on the floor if you want to change them”. We did that but nobody came to clean the room. So we needed to reuse same towels from the floor. 2. We needed to leave early after our stay and planned to do it right after the breakfast that starts at 7:30. However when we come to breakfast we found the piece of paper notifying that breakfast will be served later. No any advance notification in the evening! 3. We were charged more than specified when paid for stay. Hotel blamed booking.com that they calculate wrong exchange rate.

SerbiaFrom the start nothing was promising. When asked and said at what time I will arrive I expected that someone will be there at the reception at least to leave my stuff in the lobby if the room is not ready. No one was there, no one was answering the bell, as well as the phone that is written at the entrance. The room was not cleaned properly. There were human hairs all ower the beds, towels were ripped, the rug wasn’t vacumed really well and the sink was dirty when we came. Also, no one takes the trash out, and the shower door were broken. The day before our leave I texted them to ask if we can leave the luggage at the lobby through the day, and never got the answer but they were on time to write me a message to contact them “directly” via email if I had any comments or suggestions about the stay. The owner was really rude the last day when we asked about the paper proof that they payed for our taxes for staying in foreign country and shouted in Czech. We never got the receipt.
The location was amazing, 3 minutes walk to metro station and a very nice neighborhood. The young boy at the reception was polite. You don’t have to pay in advance which suited us because three of us came from all the different countries.

GermanyFirst of all, I did not complain during my stay, as I had a busy schedule and I usually don't complain afterwards if I book a reasonably priced room. So I did not provide them with the opportunity to improve things. This might be my error, I just can't bare the hassle. Generally speaking: things can go wrong, we don't have to complain about everything... The place was more run-down than on the fotos and in a way that they just purposefully don't care. Where to start? The bathroom was very old. The mirror-light in the bathroom didn't work, the warm water tap needed considerable turning until water came from it, black hair scattered across sink and shower, and the toilet had cracks in it. The bathroom ventilation was too short to bring out all the steam, so you could see small lines of mold in the bathroom and I suspect it also impacted on the rest of the room. The bed linen were old, so you found old stains (looked like blood) on the cushion, nobody had properly cleaned under the bed (stuff was still lying there) and I nearly stepped in a sharp piece of glas on the floor. The included breakfast consisted predominantly of meat. The only non-meat products were butter, simple cake, eggs, one type of cheese, cut up cucumber/tomatoes and plum jam (complete list). At least a variation of jams or honey would have been nice. Once a guest left a table it was not properly cleaned so you had to eat in the crumps and coffee-stains of other guests before you. And what really made it weird was that the staff just simply did not react to you. You walked past them and smiled and there was no reaction at all. Other rooms might be better, I might have been just very unlucky, or the hotel might cater to other customers needs, but I will certainly not be coming back.
The room was larger than expected. It was also very calm, as I had requested. It is located next to the yellow metro, so you get into town quickly if need to, walking takes about 30 minutes - depending on where you want to go. Returning at night on foot I felt safe. In the stone-hard beds I did sleep astonishingly well. In its rating range it was one of the cheaper options and included breakfast (though, I now know why).

Czech RepublicThis place seems to have it's better times over. It is apparently not being well cleaned long term. Both the room and the breakfast area were somewhat grubby. In particular, there was quite a nice but very dirty carpet at the room, with a lot of dogs hair. Quirky receptionist.
Location is great, right next to the underground station, but very quiet.
