Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Romania- The walls are paper thin, at least on the second floor. I could hear the guests in the other room shower, snoring and their entire conversations. - Extremely uncomfortable and low quality pillows. I asked at the reception if they could be changed but I was told all rooms have the same type of pillows (I doubt it as my parents were staying there too and their pillows were a bit better). - The room had a lot of damage (floors, walls, shower). The cleaning lady hardly cleaned every day, didn't even bother to change the towels on the last day. - Had a spider in my room. - The boiler/AC made so much noise in the middle of the night, although it was off. - A lot of noise in the hotel. I fully understand that the hotel is not responsible for the outside noise (construction etc.) but there were noises from within starting as early at 7:30 AM. What kind of holiday is that?
The location of the hotel is fantastic, close to the old town square, the main bridge and shopping areas. The breakfast was not bad either, although basic. The staff from the breakfast area were great and very helpful. The toiletries were nice too.

RomaniaThe room was old and small, with spider webs and a giant spider on the ceiling. The bathroom was kind of unpleasant. The toilet brush looked like it wasn't cleaned for years. We asked for a room change, but they told us they were fully booked. Smelly and noisy (you could hear very loudly the people from the hallway and even the flushing from other rooms' toilets). It looked like a maxim 3 star hotel room. *Misleading room name - deluxe (it's actually the basic one).
The location was perfect (walking distance to any attraction). Breakfast was ok (but with no variation).

ItalyNo elevator (4th floor). No curtains on certain windows (especially bathroom). No soundproof room (we could hear people coming back or leaving at any time). Bed large but short, especially the bed sheets were even shorter and impossible to cover properly. Had to leave a deposit for minibar only cash (chosen option) or by sharing my card details.
Great location, in one of the main streets of Prague. A few minutes walking from all the top attractions. Many restaurants and souvenir shops. Room size. Breakfast (many different choices and really good).

United KingdomWell, where do we start? You can’t check in until bang on 3pm, they don’t even attempt to check if it’s available earlier. The breakfast might as well not bother, not a lot of options, croissants are a rock and it’s just a tiny selection. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear movement in all the rooms, even to the point of someone’s phone vibrating on the room next door when they got a call. The first night, we go a bit a boozy and was a bit loud, and lost our room key, the night shift guy came and told us off in 20mins (which is fair enough, and then we went to sleep) but threaten to call the police on us (we were just laughing in our room) second night, someone else got like that, however it was on and off for 3hrs, and we got the blame. The night shift rang our room and told us off and to let the person in - we were asleep as we had a flight, the drunk person was banging and shouting on doors, my friend went down to reception to confirm it wasn’t us. The night shift stormed into our room and we were in bed, no apology nothing. Not acceptable. He had to bypass the drunk person to get to us… not once did he threaten the police to them, but to us he did it twice. On top of this, when we lost our room key, and have to pay a replacement, the amount we were going to be charged, changed 3 times within the space of 10mins. First €30, then €40 and then the final being €50. I honestly wouldn’t overly recommend the hotel, the room is awkward due to the beams to get in and out of bed, and even getting off the toilet you need to be careful.
The receptionist and the bell boys are extremely nice and helpful. The location is a perfect spot, near enough to the square but far away enough not to hear the crowds. The bed is quite comfortable

Brazilthe room didn’t look the same as the pictures, didn’t have a wardrobe, closet or anything to put our stuff, except for a hanger. the room were 3 floor up and didn’t have a elevator, just stars, which it’s ok for me but would be nice to know before booking. the room was extremely hot, had only a little window on the ceiling, and it’s VERY NOISY. you can hear everything onde the hall and other rooms. they don’t have double blankets, even for double beds. only singles. we had to ask 2 nights in a roll for a extra pillow. the minibar was also never restocked. the breakfast it’s ok, same thing everyday and at 10:00am exact the employees start to taking thing out.

CroatiaBreakfast time to late - starts from 8am. This doesn’t work for people going to work. It should be from 7am at least. Room door was secure, but didn’t close properly. This resulted in a lot of noise coming from the hallway. This could be easily resolved.

FranceWe passed four nights at the hotel. The first two nights we were on the third floor - my mum couldn't sleep due to the weird noise coming from the heating/boiler room. Once we informed the staff, they changed our room immediately. We then moved to the second floor... The hair dryer didn't work, the bathroom smells constantly the plumbing which was really bad... I guess the wall is very very thin because we could hear the gentleman snoring in the next room!!
The location of the hotel is impeccable. Right in front of the bridge, transportation, old town. The staff is great, professional and nice. Breakfast was great!
