Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenMy "pod" was like a damn sauna. So hot i could not sleep, and by morning it was literally covered internally with condensation. I had to leave the privacy door open for air but did not help much. So many things about this place are bad but for the price I could excuse. But of 100s of places I've stayed across the world in my travels, this was by far the worst for actual sleep. I wish i had just slept at the airport where i could actually sleep. This was like mild torture.
The key less entry is nice.

HungaryThe mattress could've been a bit more comfortable, but it was acceptable.
Although the hostel was in a distant, quiet neighborhood, the public transportation was excellent, and I could reach everything easily. The capsule was large enough to sleep in, and the provided locker was big enough for my traveling bag. The place was cleaned regularly. I loved the idea the main door and the capsule could be opened with an online link, so I didn't have to carry a key on me and didn't have to meet with anybody at the check-in.

SwedenIf they had working ventilation then MABYE its ok.
I didn’t like anything about this place. It’s a self check-in and check-out so there is no staff. The bed is TERREBLY made so if you want to sleep you need to make it again. No ventilation, its HOT and you cannot sleep. The showers are right by the capsules so everything gets damp. I got 2 bad hours of sleep and then left.

ColombiaI got lost and called the number they gave and nobody answeared. The capsules lack adequate ventilation. They are very small. When I arrived there was no locker available to store my belongings, all lockers were taken. Inside the capsule there was not enough space to store them, so it made it even more unconfortable.

United KingdomIt was slightly warmer than what I would consider to be comfortable in the capsule, but you can open the trap to air it a little bit. It gets a little bit humid on the hallway where the capsules are, due to the showers. And you don't have any hooks or anything that you can hang your towels. Also, you get only one towel and it's small, so you need to bring your own towel. There was no soap in the bathroom.
The capsules give you the privacy you need and the extra safety that you can sleep in peace without worrying that someone might disturb you. It's great that it locks and you can open it with a switch from the inside and with your phone from the outside, so make sure you don't lock your phone in. It felt very cozy to me and it was a really nice experience. It was also very safe and the other people in the hostel were nice.

ArmeniaMy big objection is that the hostel didn't warn me in advance that I would need a phone with a Czech SIM card in order to access it. They had told me that they would send me a "code" for the front door and my capsule on the day that I arrived. It turns out that they sent me a link to a webpage with buttons I could press to open the front door and capsule. However, those buttons would only work if I could get online. They'd sent me a WiFi password, but it turns out that the WiFi only worked downstairs! So I was stuck out in a rainstorm until one of my fellow hostel guests heard me pounding on the front door. Then I had to go to O2 and buy a $15 Czech SIM card to keep from getting locked out again. I asked the hostel to refund me this money, but they refused--hence, they're getting a 1/10 rating for terrible customer service. Also, it was sometimes unbearably hot, with no air conditioning.
The location was good, close to a metro station and within walking distance of the music festival I was going to see. My capsule itself was clean with ample electrical plugs and plenty of space to hold my things.

SlovakiaVentilation inside the capsule is not enough. I woke up several times during the night and had to open the capsule to let fresh air in. The showers are horrible, one was not working, and the showers are activated by a sensor when you are inside, so when I entered the shower, it started blasting cold water and the showerhead was flying around at full blast making all my clothes and phone wet. It can't be turned off, you have to sand on the side and wait. There is nowhere to put clothes, towels, and a phone inside the shower (but you have to have a phone otherwise you will get locked out of the capsule). I was not able to locate where the toilets are located, but I didn't urgently need them. There is no staff, so idk how the potential issues would be solved like getting locked out of the capsule with no phone to open it.
Privacy inside of the capsule is sorta great for the hostel in terms of privacy. Sockets, and lights are there. The location is near the metro station.

United KingdomEverything really, mainly the fact thay the staff locked me out of my capsule and my belongings and refused to answer my calls or texts. They mixed up capsules and then canceled my lino reaulting in me sleeping on the couch all night, not really getting sleep since no one seems to sleep there and i had people using the kitchen every 5 minutes. When calling up in the morning to get access and make a complaint, the staff were rude and hung up on me, absolutely dreadful experience. The night i actually did sleep in the capsule, i found it overwhelmingly hot, i could not breathe and the air was stagnant, meaning i had to leave the door slightly open as there is actually no air conditioning, despite what was advertised, just vents that allow you to hear everyone else in adjacent capsules. Overall i wouod never come back here and think the place is absolutely awful and advise people to pain a red X on the door and steer well clear, its a place i woupd rather not have to step foot in again.

PolandFirst of all, the lack of staff. Early in the morning of the second day, a drunk man came, rattled cabinets, rushed around the hostel, but there was no one from the staff to 1) calm him down, 2) call the police. I was awakened and I felt in danger. Secondly, the toilet and shower are dirty, there is no soap in the toilet. I am disappointed.

United KingdomExtremely hot inside when door are closed, but that's why door are there , to keep it private. It is no air con but little vent but that's not good enough, specially for two people when you've got double cabin. And it's not a summer yet, cant even imagine how does it feel when its really hot outside. Would also make more sense if it was some sign or something saying that someone is there and maybe trying to sleep, as someone already mentioned before, because unfortunately some people don't respect others, so at night was really loud, people having full blown conversation on a corridor. No bins anywhere in a bathroom, and one just in a kitchen, full to the top, that you couldn't squeeze anything there if you really wanted. In general, like i said before, idea of a "cabin"it it's great but need some proper work. I wouldn't stay there again, I had a horrible night.
Idea of a capsule hostel itself it's great, looks clean and tidy.
